H2o Posted January 29, 2010 Posted January 29, 2010 http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2010/...ator-candidate/ So they've lowered their expectations, and they're still striking out. People turn us down and the media slams our franchise. People turn Chicago down left and right and what's said about them?
GOBILLS78 Posted January 29, 2010 Posted January 29, 2010 Different situation. Anybody who goes to Chicago knows they'll likely get canned in a year when Smith gets the boot.

People turn Chicago down left and right and what's said about them? It has been talked about, here, and nationally, quite often...

Buftex Posted January 29, 2010 Posted January 29, 2010 Actually Chicago is a proud franchise, but from what I have read in several places, they don't want to work with Jay Cutler. I don't think it really has anything to do with Cutler... he may not be the most loved guy in the NFL, but, he has far better tools to work with than many other franchises would have to offer a prospective OC. If they are scared off because of Cutler, than they likely aren't cut out to be an OC in the NFL. It really has more to do with the feeling that Lovey is a lameduck head coach, unless something goes drastically right for his team, this year.
