copernicus137 Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2010/...to-bills-staff/ Only outside linebackers though. also per Fewell733 in the shout box
Pygskin36 Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2010/...to-bills-staff/ Wow, that came up here fast.. I just logged on to post it.. nice work! So, does this mean they have a DC? it seems odd to piece together a staff without the coordinator...
Tortured Soul Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 Wow, that came up here fast.. I just logged on to post it.. nice work! So, does this mean they have a DC? it seems odd to piece together a staff without the coordinator... Especially since the OLBs are affected more than anything by the 3-4/4-3 switch
Fewell733 Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 alright, I just said this in the "shout box" but here's some info http://ramblinwreck.cstv.com/sports/m-foot...ith_giff00.html he was D-line coach at GT from 2004 - 2008. if he's coaching outside linebackers here, I wonder if this means we're going to the 3-4 since outside backers are a lot more like D-linemen.
Wilson from Gamehendge Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 Our coaches have great first names.. I believe his brother Biff is going to coach the inside linebackers.
dpberr Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 I agree. His hiring strongly suggests a move to the 3-4 defense.
Buffaloed in Pa Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 Old Giffer another good ole boy from the colle ge ranks. I just don`t know what to think.
Mike in Horseheads Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 Our coaches have great first names.. That must be Russ Brandons doings, marketing ploy!
nobody Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 Old Giffer another good ole boy from the colle ge ranks. I just don`t know what to think. They come cheap.
Buffaloed in Pa Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 A good place to start learning about PRO-Ball.
Haven Moses Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 I think Junior Samples will be the inside LB coach
Mike in Horseheads Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 Old Giffer another good ole boy from the colle ge ranks. I just don`t know what to think. Can' you hear it now, "Lets go out and win one for the Giffer"
FistingBot Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 Gotta mean we're switching to the 3-4. It'd be really strange to have an inside linebacker coach for just the middle linebacker!
el Tigre Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 Our coaches have great first names.. In high school, one of our OL's name was Bo. He had brothers named Rink,Cord and Dax. No joke.
JoeF Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 Lot's of questions here...just two.... 1) Would Gailey hire an OLB's coach if he wasn't planning on the 3-4? 2) Would Gailey hire an OLB's coach before he secured a DC?
Kingfish Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 Gotta mean we're switching to the 3-4. It'd be really strange to have an inside linebacker coach for just the middle linebacker! I checked the websites of all the 3-4 teams and Green Bay and San Francisco have inside/outside linebackers coaches (although the 49ers OLB coach is called "Pass Rush Specialist). Miami has an ILB coach but no OLB coach at the moment.
Peter Griffin Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 I think Junior Samples will be the inside LB coach My money is on Jpeg Jones
