SpecialK15 Posted January 25, 2010 Posted January 25, 2010 When hiring new coaches, Nix and Gailey will have to consider the epic amount of injuries sustained by this team last season. A very crucial, yet overlooked, staff position to fill will be the strength and conditioning coach. It is pretty clear that the number of injuries had a lot to do with the physical preparation of the players throughout the season. Next season could quickly turn into last, unless the proper coaches are hired to make sure these players are capable of handling the physical demands of their positions.
b stein 22 Posted January 25, 2010 Posted January 25, 2010 Its not the coaches but the players who are to weak and to small for the NFL.
Cugalabanza Posted January 25, 2010 Posted January 25, 2010 Bills and Lions led the league in players on IR. That's no accident. It's more than just strength and conditioning. Never underestimate the power(lessness) of a defeatist attitude. The tendency to get hurt is increased when players are overmatched, out of position, in a lousy scheme and lacking confidence.
