bills_red Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 http://blogs.buffalobills.com/2010/01/22/b...aft-pick-count/ Their extra seventh round pick is part of the Ko Simpson trade at the beginning of the 2009 season
BillsGuyInMalta Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 He's Ko Simpson and he's worth...a 7th rounder... Hmmmmm...any idea if the compensatory picks change because of the CBA? I wonder if we're in line for any more picks this year.
dgrid Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 nice, there's the Tebow pick for the Tebow lovers. (after we draft LeFevour or bring in McNabb)

BillsGuyInMalta Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 Did someone actually sign one of our FA's? Greer got a decent contract from New Orleans.
PromoTheRobot Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 Okay, what can we get for Schoebel, Lynch and T.O.? PTR
Rocket J Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 nice, there's the Tebow pick for the Tebow lovers. (after we draft LeFevour or bring in McNabb) McNabb Blows forgetaboutit!!
DDD Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 Okay, what can we get for Schoebel, Lynch and T.O.? PTR About a 3-13 record next year.

BillsFan Trapped in Pats Land Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 Greer got a decent contract from New Orleans. Except he was undrafted, so there is no compensation.
CardinalScotts Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 ya lets trade the only player who can rush the passer
San-O Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 Every time I look at the 2006 draft, it gets worse and worse. Take a 4th round pick and turn it into a 7'th round pick. Oh well. At least it's not McCargo, turning a 1'st round pick in nothing. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/football/...ayers/2117.html
Stl Bills Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 Except he was undrafted, so there is no compensation.
H2o Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 Greer got a decent contract from New Orleans. We might actually get a decent compensatory pick for Greer, I hope. Maybe an extra 5th or something.
scribo Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 They signed T.O. and Hangartner so I wouldn't see a lot if any at all. JMO I do not think T.O. counts as he was not simply unsigned.
bills_red Posted January 22, 2010 Author Posted January 22, 2010 Except he was undrafted, so there is no compensation. So what? That has nothing to do with Comp picks.
gonzo1105 Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 QB Ryan Fitzpatrick, RB Dominic Rhodes, WR Terrell Owens, G Seth McKinney, C Geoff Hangartner, ILB Pat Thomas, CB Drayton Florence. QB J.P. Losman, TE Robert Royal, G Derrick Dockery, G Jason Whittle, C Duke Preston, C Melvin Fowler, OLB Angelo Crowell, OLB Blake Costanzo, ILB John DiGiorgio, ILB Teddy Lehman, CB Jabari Greer, CB Dustin Fox. Now the players at the top are the players we signed and the bottom are players we lost. Owens still counts as a FA gained for us but will not net the cowboys any type of work towards their compensation becuase he was released. If you take a look at the players we lost because we released them we will not get any value towards compensation picks...so for instance Robert Royal, Derrick Dockery are two that will not count towards the loss column. For instance i'm not sure if Dominic Rhodes or Pat Thomas count towards ours because they never played a down for us. Also, players who obviously weren't signed do not count towards compensatory picks. This list includes Losman(not sure if he counts for us considering he played for the Raiders), Whittle, DiGiorgio, Lehman, Fox. So accounting all of that we gained Fitzpatrick, Owens, McKinney, Hangartner, and Florence We lost Preston, Crowell, Costanzo, Greer. The formula over the years has predominately been towards FA's gained and FA's lost. We had 4 out of the 5 players get significant playing time in Fitz, Owens, Han, and Florence while the players we have lost have not seen much playing time at all in Preston(backup), Crowell(season ending injury), Costanzo(ST's), and one guy who played a big role Greer. Looking at it dont expect a compensatory pick at all and if we do end up getting one it wont be anything significant at most a 6th rounder but more likely a 7th rounder or nothing.
