CountDorkula Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 Mark Kelso... The only FS in league history to line up 25 yds from the LOS cause he was so slow!! Do NOT Mock sir Big Helmet! Yogurt will use the schwartz against you!!!
truth on hold Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 Kelso was the smartest guy on the field. The problem was he had about as much power as if we had thrown Marv out on the field. We rarely got beat deep with Kelso playing outfield. I'm not sure why he takes so much abuse on these boards. As for the OJ Anderson run, you're asking your free safety to take on a giant RB. Ask yourself where all his teammates were on that play. gotta go low on the bigger back. like antoine winfield. trying to tackle him high in my book was a mistake ... sorry Marv
nostyle126 Posted January 22, 2010 Author Posted January 22, 2010 gotta go low on the bigger back. like antoine winfield. trying to tackle him high in my book was a mistake ... sorry Marv Can't disagree with that...but until you're on the field with a giant RB bearing down on you, I'm not sure you can really judge Kelso for that play.
Pine Barrens Mafia Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 Can't disagree with that...but until you're on the field with a giant RB bearing down on you, I'm not sure you can really judge Kelso for that play. I'm gonna go with Tim Anderson.
nostyle126 Posted January 22, 2010 Author Posted January 22, 2010 Anderson was so unathletic...and he had short arms. He was a stumpy guy with no agility.
Pyrocles Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 I remember a play during Super Bowl XXVI against the Redskins. Kelso had one of the 'Skins receivers (Monk, Sanders?) perfectly covered; he was right on him. But somehow Ripen threads the needle, and gets a first down. There was no way the Bills were going to win that game... The 'Skins were just on fire that whole season. Can't disagree with that...but until you're on the field with a giant RB bearing down on you, I'm not sure you can really judge Kelso for that play.
MarkyMannn Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 Check out the size of Kelso's helmet!!! Damn that doesn't sound right
davefan66 Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 Soft? How about McGahee. Towards the end of his time here he made a habit out of going down on the first hit.
nostyle126 Posted January 22, 2010 Author Posted January 22, 2010 Soft? How about McGahee. Towards the end of his time here he made a habit out of going down on the first hit. There were times he didn't even wait to get hit.
Canadian Bills Fan Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 He could never find the holes...well on the field that is....
UB2SF Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 I'd add Robert Royal for lack of agility. No ability to adjust his route or his body to make a difficult catch, and when he did make a catch, he'd usually just fall down with the ball rather than attempting yards after the catch. And how about Chris "he's not a punt returner but more of a punt catcher" Watson?
BillsPride12 Posted January 23, 2010 Posted January 23, 2010 Bennie Anderson...god what a nightmare it was watching him play
BuffaloRebound Posted January 23, 2010 Posted January 23, 2010 Dockery and Mike Williams. Can't believe the Redskins put those 2 on the field together.
Ctown Posted January 23, 2010 Posted January 23, 2010 Art Still for least agile. honorable mention...Jeff Posey
zazie Posted January 23, 2010 Posted January 23, 2010 gotta go low on the bigger back. like antoine winfield. trying to tackle him high in my book was a mistake ... sorry Marv Man can Antoine tackle. Technique and ability and athletecism in one package.
blzrul Posted January 23, 2010 Posted January 23, 2010 Vince Ferragamo. Joe Dufek. Matt Robinson. Tinker "the Stinker".
