major Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 I am tired of hearing fans say that we need McNabb. We don't! He is on the decline. Did you watch the wild card game he just played in, against the Cowboys? He's not Brett Favre. It pains me to say this, but I feel the Eagles would have been better off with the dog killer running their offense this year. Forget McWashed Up and draft Tebow.

major Posted January 22, 2010 Author Posted January 22, 2010 One more thing- we don't have a line that can protect McNabb. He has become a pocket passer, not a running QB. We need a running QB due to the line issues we have.

Stealth Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 The Bills haven't had a 4000 yard passer- 2002 3000 yard passer- 2006 guy throw 20 tds- 2004 someone throw for 300 yards in a game- 2006 McNabb has thrown for over 3500 yards each of the last 2 years with 45 tds to 21 ints. It would take a little over 3 seasons worth of games for the Bills to equal the amount of tds McNabb has thrown for. Plus playoff appearances, divisional titles,qb rating in the high 90's. Statistically leading one of the most productive offenses in the NFL? People don't want Mcnabb you're seriously idiots.

He is a man who has been in every situation and can lead the team while it stabilizes and comes together over the next couple years. A short term stabilizer for a need in search of dependability and consistency.

How about that idea?
WordByrd Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 HAHAHA! you had an okay argument until you ended it with "draft Tebow". McNabb would be a great local guy to bring in to win some games and help groom our next QB. watcha smokin?

It's in My Blood Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 Local guy? He is from Chicago. He played his college ball at Syracuse. Still not local , but close.
gball77 Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 He looked pretty bad in the playoff game, he looked terrible against Arizona last year. He seems to have anxiety issues with big games, that being said, I would take him because is atleast getting to the playoffs.
bkc Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 would be lucky to get McNabb , even if we only get three good years from him . If you can draft a big time left tackle and some how trade for Mcnabb the offense could be playoff caliber .
WordByrd Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 Local guy? He is from Chicago. oh, I'm sorry I didn't clarify. He played at Syracuse, which happens to be local. thanks for correcting me even though most knew where I was going
muddy waters Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 I am tired of hearing fans say that we need McNabb. We don't! He is on the decline. It pains me to say this, but I feel the Eagles would have been better off with the dog killer running their offense this year. Forget McWashed Up and draft Tebow. As a Bills fan living in the Philly area, I agree that it would be a bigtime mistake to acquire McNabb. Most Eagle fans are fed up with McNabb and can not wait to get rid of him and move on. Yes, he would be better than what the Bills have, but he is clearly not the answer. McNabb behind a weak line is not much better than Edwards of Fitzpatrick. He no longer has the mobility he once had, and he is horribly inaccurate when under pressure. On top of that, I get the impression he is not a good clubhouse guy. He seems to alienate himself and get defensive when criticized. Philadelphia fans can't understand why the national media is so in love with McNabb. Yes his numbers look good, but his time has passed. The only place McNabb will find success is if he goes to a team with a super solid line. I desperately hope the Bills do not waste a draft pick or good player (Lynch) to acquire McNabb. He would flounder big time behind a reconstructed and developing offensive line and miss receivers all over the place. As for drafting Tebow, I wouldn't do this either unless he slips to Round 3. Unless Bradford or Claussen slip to the Bills, I would let Chan take a shot at a free agent and do some magic.

Thoner7 Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 so Tebow will come in automatically be faster than the LB's in the NFL, AND throw TD passes? who was the last college spread system QB to flourish in the NFL? Steve Young did very well. Ran a lot in college too. Tebow will be fine because he has all the physical tools and the intangibles. All he needs is some technique. Thats the easiest part to learn

All he needs is some technique. Thats the easiest part to learn Steve Young also played in the USFL and got hammered with the Buccaneers for awhile. Buffalo can't wait with a top 10 pick to get a guy who is "going to ride the pine" for several years. If we are going to take Tebow at #9, then he should be producing right away. Hmmm...which one of these doesn't belong A) Rodgers as a backup learning from Favre B) Young as a backup learning from Montana C) Tebow as a backup learning from "Captain Checkdown" or "Fitz" And, last time I checked, Tebow has a lot of cold weather game experience as a now former Florida Gator. I see your point! Let's draft Tebow!!!

McNabb is INFINITELY better than any QB they have or could draft. The fact you even mentioned Tebow tells us all we need to know about your opinion. Don't get a HOF QB because he had a bad game and draft a slow QB with terrible throwing mechanics. Okay...

He will get run down easily. You want him in the 3rd round, fine. And then have a plan to move him to TE.
