papazoid
wins = respect it's that simple....we desrve all the negative comments we get. however, the beauty of the NFL is that there are many, many examples of teams that turn around their fortunes in just one or two years. there is hope in bills land: the bills finally have a proven talent evaluator in Nix. they have alot of room under the salary cap to sign Free Agents. unlike perception, the bills are NOT cheap (they had the 12th highest salary last year) they just have not spent it wisely. CodeMonkey
Dude needs to hire a new fact checker. who hired a 57-year-old retread coach Birthdate January 5, 1952. That makes him 58. Unfortunately I can't find fault with the rest of what he says.

The Big Cat
I know it's fun to pick on the teams with the crazy old, crotchety owners, but how is it that Oakland and Buffalo have become the whipping boys of the bully-media while Detroiot somehow gets a free pass? Hmm...
Bills Fan in MD
It is never hopeless. Lightning does strike sometimes. Take the lottery as an example. It's possible you could win, just not very likely. So the Bills have a 1 in 190,000,000 chance of winning next year?

Hmm... Or KC for that matter....oh wait I know why. Scott Pioli is a genius so he gets a pass too. Much of what the media says is true but there is also an element of piling on. And when one guy does it then they all do. Round and round until opinions become conventional wisdom. Just remember it's never as good, or as bad, as the experts say. Hmm... You're joking, right? The Lions have been the butt end of jokes for years. The only reason they're not being picked on now is because some sort of media mercy rule appears to be in effect. PromoTheRobot
You know what else if funny about that article? Now all of a sudden Rex Ryan is Bill Belicheat! Go back 7 weeks and tell me how many people were thinking that? The difference is you win a couple of games. And in the Jets case, they were handed the playoffs. All Gaily has to do is improve the Bills by 3 games and we are a playoff team. Pick 3 games from last year and we are in the playoffs, not the Jets. Then Dick(less) Jauron is a genius! Keep our O-line intact and what happens in all the games we lost? People need to get off the ledge. We may be miles from being a Super Bowl contender but we are not that far from the wild card. Kingfish
All Gaily has to do is improve the Bills by 3 games and we are a playoff team. Arizona was a joke until they signed Warner. Cincy was a joke until they drafted Palmer. San Diego was a joke before Brees/Rivers. If Buddy finds the right QB we'll be fine.

The only reason they're not being picked on now is because some sort of media mercy rule appears to be in effect. I'm not joking. Buffalo and Oakland finished their seasons 6-10 and 5-11, respectively. Yes, that's below average. But it's not terrible, certainly doesn't compare to the turds laid by Cleveland, Tampa, KC, and Detroit. To boot, between Buffalo and Oakland, neither team suffered blowouts (predominately) and both teams had wins and/or close losses to the year's "contenders." Heaven forbid the wise crackers at ESPN take a gander at numbers once in awhile, or even (get ready) before they conduct an "analysis." Promo said it best. Right now, the "pile-on" reporters have decided we're the ones most worthy of ridicule, but that doesn't make their content any more informative, and it certainly doesn't make it right. billsfreak
link one guys take Is that guy a Bills fan? He sure sounds like he is familiar with the situation here at OBD. In my opinion, he is pretty spot on with his article, and I don't do too much tequila anymore, so I am not believing the winning with no stars BS. truth on hold
stupid article. anyone that cant see nix and gailey are a huge upgrade from what we had is a complete idiot. this clown dragged out every negative stereotype he could find simply to trash buffalo. someone needs to tell him we finished ahead of 8 teams in the league including the large market redskins who spend big on high profile names. ill take bills and gaily over shanahan and the skins, and pocket several million a year in savings. thank you very much

When the Bills hired Jauron he was only a couple season removed from being names coach of the year for the entire NFL. Gailey is coming off being fired by the Chiefs in preseason, because they knew he was going to suck. Nix has never even been a GM, so he doesn't have a resume to compare anything to. Not saying it might not turn out to be an upgrade, but only time will tell, it isn't the everyone can see, obvious upgrade that you make it out to be.
