VABills Posted January 21, 2010 Posted January 21, 2010 He and Chan go back to Georgia Tech where he ran good defenses. He is/was currently with ND as the Asst HC and DC.
iccrewman112 Posted January 21, 2010 Posted January 21, 2010 As a diehard, Notre Dame fan the answer is absolutely NO! Watching his defensive scheme this past season was terrible. He blitzed on a majority of plays and played with lacks coverage to ensure not getting beat over the top. The blitzes were not well disguised at all. All the QB's in the AFC East especially Brady, (even Sanchez and Henne with another year under their belt) would feast on those weak blitzes. A resounding no.
Dr. Trooth Posted January 21, 2010 Posted January 21, 2010 Dude... he got smoked at ND. He's be in way over his head in the pros as a DC.... the NFL has QBs like Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers, and Drew Brees. No way he'd be able to write a recipe to defend them. He might want to come in as an asst. linebackers or asst. special teams coach to cut his teeth in the NFL
