Simon Posted November 23, 2004 Posted November 23, 2004 Bret Favre behind this line would have made no difference. I can't seem to find the smilie that denotes the incredulous look with the dropped jaw. You know, the one you want to use when you're stupefied as to what other people actually see when they watch football.
Oneida Lake Posted November 23, 2004 Posted November 23, 2004 Wrong. Brady got hurt. When Drew entered teh game he had a 7 point lead and did not blow it- although he almost did several times. This has been discussed ad nuaseum I just wanted to disspell your claim Brady played like crap 130185[/snapback] A little revisionist history here. Brady twisted his ankle with 2 and half minutes to go. Ball on Pitt 39. Bledsoe threw 3 consecutive passes the last a 19 yard TD to Patten. (would love to see that kid here) Bledsoe played the rest of the half and all of the 2nd half of that AFC championship game. He didn't "almost blow it several times". No picks, no fumbles. Solid play the rest of the game and 2 critical 3rd down conversions late in 2nd half to keep game going. This after sitting on the bench for 4 1/2 months and getting almost no snaps in practice. Bledsoe haters like Pete here will never give Bledsoe credit for getting the Pats to the Super Bowl and that's why their credibility will be forever questioned on the Bledsoe thing. Incidentally, I agree that Brady did not "play like crap".
