Pine Barrens Mafia Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 nick saban said very publicly he was not NOT going to be thew next head coach at alabama. burn
truth on hold Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 at least he gets to the playoffs.very disappointing news so does gailey.
XTC Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 I'm calling BS. Marty had said very recently and very publicly that he was done with coaching... Golly gee whiz, I suppose you need a video of OJ butchering people with a knife before you believe it too???
mjohns85 Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 Evidently, Schottenheimer wanted the job, but Wilson pulled the chicken switch. http://espn.go.com/blog/afceast/post/_/id/...anted-bills-gig fml. now i am really p*ssed off. i was hard enought to stomach the gailey hiring, but to hear this???? f*cking f*ck f*ck
DFL Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 so does gailey. well, i believe gailey is 0-2 lifetime. please dont compare these coachs stats against each other. you will lose that debate, sir
Pine Barrens Mafia Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 f*cking f*ck f*ck If I had a nickel for every time I've said that in reference to this God-forsaken football team, I'd be retired.
The Poojer Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 what if it isn't...stop speculating........ what if his "comfort" is his pocket book? i dont know about you but the idea of marty, possibly along with brian schottenheimer, sounds fantastic.
WellDressed Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 I love being a Bill's fan. It's like day's of our lives around here. DOOL was a great soap back in the 80's.
sullim4 Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 Screw it. I am done with this team. This is unforgivable. I'll take Regier and the douchebags over at HSBC any day of the week over this horseshit.
shoveldog Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 Now we know why Brian declined the interview. THIS is something to be legitimately pissed about. No it's not... I cannot reveal my source, but I have a very good friend @ the NFL and he say's the reason Schotty Sr. was let go in San Diego is because he was starting to become "increasingly confused" on the sidelines.
plenzmd1 Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 i haven't made one reply to this whole coaching mess, but this news just has me shaking my head
WellDressed Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 now i'm really going to wonder about all these fans that were saying they are going to picket outside the ralph are suddenly going to turn into kamakazi bombers. Kamakazi pilots, in Stuka bombers
dave mcbride Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 Pretty unbelievable. There were rumors to this effect before. I doubt it was money. The owner is bitter and mercurial. Ask Lou Saban about that.
Coach Klein Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 Marty's 200-126-1 record is just too mediocre...we are WAY more comfortable with 18-14...(please correct me if I got the records wrong.)
Bills Fan in MD Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 Now we know why Brian declined the interview. THIS is something to be legitimately pissed about. +1
RayFinkle Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 "I want to look Ralph straight in the eye and I want to tell him what a cheap, lying, no-good, rotten, four-flushing, low-life, snake-licking, dirt-eating, inbred, overstuffed, ignorant, blood-sucking, dog-kissing, brainless, dickless, hopeless, heartless, fat-ass, bug-eyed, stiff-legged, spotty-lipped, worm-headed sack of monkey **** he is! Hallelujah! Holy ****! Where's the Tylenol?"
Not the real Gale Gilbert Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 So pretend that Marty is coming in as the next HC. Do you feel good about that hire? Or only slightly better than with Gailey? I'm not sure he's that much of an upgrade over Gailey. He has a winning record, but that was accumulated mostly in the 80's and 90's. He's also another retread who runs a boring offense. You've just married a slightly ugly woman (or man). Would you have sex with a different ugly woman (or man) just because she wanted to? Wait, don't answer that... So Schotty wanted to get back to coaching and didn't get a shot in Buffalo. Big deal.
DFL Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 what if it isn't...stop speculating........ this is a message board, the land of speculation. this thread is based speculation that source told a blogger (and a fine one at that) that a retired coach wanted the bills job.....complete speculation! the sheer probability (yes, probability), that financial reasons kept one of the finest head coaches out of the running to lead the team we all so hold dear, is worthy of such speculation.
