Endzone Animal Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 Ralph was "not comfortable" with him. Translation: money and power.
The Poojer Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 i am glad that ralph is thinking for himself and not listening to fans....ralph has forgotten more about football than any of us will ever know, collectively...if he was uncomfortable with Schottenheimer, then that is good enough for me....its been 3 years since he was a coach anywhere...has to be a reason for that....
DFL Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 that actually explains a lot. the nix "blow your mind" comment and why brian declined us. good riddance too ... schottenheimer = playoff choke at least he gets to the playoffs. very disappointing news
DarthICE Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 Now we know why Brian declined the interview. THIS is something to be legitimately pissed about. Ralph has lost his !@#$ing mind. the man needs to go as our owner NOW
Bob in STL Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 I would much rather have Marty who maybe would have brought in his son to be OC. Marty has turned around several moribund franchises in the past. What could Ralph have been uncomfortable about? Oh well ....
DaGimp Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 I would much rather have Marty who maybe would have brought in his son to be OC. Marty has turned around several moribund franchises in the past. What could Ralph have been uncomfortable about? Oh well .... his sexuality?
Pine Barrens Mafia Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 Ralph has lost his !@#$ing mind. the man needs to go as our owner NOW Didn't take long to change the direction of your weathervane, eh?
eSJayDee Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 Effin A. That galls me. IMO, there were 2 big names out there that have had SIGNIFICANT success - Marty & Cowher. Both over 60% career win %age. Cowher w/ 1 team, Schotty had success w/ 3 or 4 (how'd he do w/ the Skins?) If true, this seriously pisses me off.

XTC Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 Ralph was "not comfortable" with him. Translation: money and power. Holy Shiite Muslims............I think I just switched sides in Ralph Wilson's war. And I never thought I would ever say that. This is beyond a bombshell it is beyond comprehension..........This is sooooooo much worse than the Chan Gailey hiring itself. Wow!
prissythecat Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 Evidently, Schottenheimer wanted the job, but Wilson pulled the chicken switch. http://espn.go.com/blog/afceast/post/_/id/...anted-bills-gig I'm calling BS. Marty had said very recently and very publicly that he was done with coaching...
mob16151 Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 I love being a Bill's fan. It's like day's of our lives around here.

Bull schitt. If Ralph knew about football, his team wouldn't have been a historically inept franchise.

DFL Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 I'm calling BS. Marty had said very recently and very publicly that he was done with coaching... nick saban said very publicly he was not NOT going to be thew next head coach at alabama.
zazie Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 RW does not like Marty and prefers Chan that is 100% for financial reasons. 100% about money.
STLBILLS15 Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 now i'm really going to wonder about all these fans that were saying they are going to picket outside the ralph are suddenly going to turn into kamakazi bombers.
