The Senator Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 I believe there's one thing all Bills fans are thinking as a result of this decision... How many Sabres tix will my Bills season ticket $$$ buy??? GO SABRES!!! Link: Chan Gailey Football - When Lunesta Just Won't Work
Adam Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 Which makes him the perfect coach for RW, who also is a micromanager and I think can now be classified as certifiably senile. I remember Wilson was called senile by that Idiot show on ESPN radio for complaining about the current CBA. It was by Mike Golic, the man that lives in a toilet
Adam Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 Chan Gailey = Norv Turner And what would Norv Turner do with the worst roster in football?
calbear Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 On the day they officially announce Gailey's signing, Buffalo will officially be down to one professional sports franchise. The only rationale for this move: it will make it easier to move the team.
Fingon Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 And what would Norv Turner do with the worst roster in football? I don't know, but the Bills don't have the worst roster in football.
Low Positive Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 And what would Norv Turner do with the worst roster in football? The same thing that Vince Lombardi would do, lose. Luckily, the Bills don't have the worst roster in football. That honor belongs to the the Detroit Lions. Hey look at that, it can always be worse.
Adam Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 I don't know, but the Bills don't have the worst roster in football. Pretty close- both lines have been deteriorating since Polian left
Fingon Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 Pretty close- both lines have been deteriorating since Polian left There are quite a few teams in the league that would be worse off if it was a healthy 53 vs a healthy 53.
billieve420 Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 I would rather have given the job to Fewell and hired Gailey as OC. That is a combination I could have lived with. There is no way they can spin this hire and it is a real embarassment that they practically had to give this job away to a retread who hasn't proved he was deserving of another head coaching opporunity.
Offside Number 76 Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 I think Dave Campo was his DC. This is correct. Trying to find out who was OC. This is tough to find! EDIT: It appears that he was his own OC: http://www.knowyourdallascowboys.com/2008/...e-coordinators/
Tcali Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 I don't know, but the Bills don't have the worst roster in football. bottom 5
BillsfaninSixburgh Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 Back in 86 no one had heard of Bill Polian, and Marv Levy was a KC and CFL retread. That seemed to work out ok. Give the guy a chance.

Guess who else hired a retread coach who hadn't proven he was deserving of another head coaching opportunity. San Diego, the same organization our GM comes from.
Enemarty Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 It all makes sense, instead of watching the Vikings D smackdown of the "hottest" team in football, OBD was interviewing Chan.
BADOLBILZ Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 The same thing that Vince Lombardi would do, lose. Luckily, the Bills don't have the worst roster in football. That honor belongs to the the Detroit Lions. Hey look at that, it can always be worse. Sorry French, but Detroit has their QB. Stafford is a star in the making. The Bills may be deeper overall, but unless they get a QB the Lions are poised to get better more quickly.
Chalkie Gerzowski Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 So Gailey costs 10 million a year? Damn, kind of a high price.
billieve420 Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 Guess who else hired a retread coach who hadn't proven he was deserving of another head coaching opportunity. San Diego, the same organization our GM comes from. What Turner has proved with one of the best rosters in football is that he shouldn't be a Head coach.
