Steely Dan Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 http://www.buffalonews.com/opinion/columns...ory/925539.html It's not you it's me.
BillsNYC Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 I hope he marched into Brandon's office and told him to go F himself when he found out Fewell was named Interm Coach and not him. April's the best coach we had this decade, I wish him the best.
wonderbread Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 It's not you it's me. I want to see other people.
BarkLessWagMore Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 Class move by a great coach +1. We would be incredibly lucky to replace him with someone half as good.
Big Turk Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 truly a class act...amazing how the Bills always seem to get it wrong eventually even when they get it right...
Malazan Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 truly a class act...amazing how the Bills always seem to get it wrong eventually even when they get it right... Yet everyone was calling for his head during the season. Way to go Buffalo Fans.
Nevergiveup Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 I hope he marched into Brandon's office and told him to go F himself when he found out Fewell was named Interm Coach and not him. April's the best coach we had this decade, I wish him the best. He did excactly that.
CosmicBills Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 Yet everyone was calling for his head during the season. Way to go Buffalo Fans. ... Because the special teams weren't that special this past season.
Nevergiveup Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 ... Because the special teams weren't that special this past season. The special teams over his tenure were some of the best in the NFL. More than 10 teams contacted him when he opted out. What more do you need to know?
Malazan Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 ... Because the special teams weren't that special this past season. Well, he's either a great coach or he's not. It doesn't work both ways. I think he was a great coach, but there was thread after thread about how he wasn't good. That the team suffered because guys were drafted for special teams play, etc, etc.
St Jimmy Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 Nice letter, but the St Pat's parade is in the 1st ward. Not the second (nitpicking I know, but it was the first thing that jumped out at me)
VABills Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 Nice letter, but the St Pat's parade is in the 1st ward. Not the second (nitpicking I know, but it was the first thing that jumped out at me) He lost track of which batch of prisoners were in each ward.
CarolinaBill Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 What a jerk, he didn't have to kick the city, team and fans in the collective junk on his way out the door. oh, wait, I misread that, nevermind.
Big Turk Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 ... Because the special teams weren't that special this past season. Yes, because being ranked 7th in the NFL is so horrible...
Steely Dan Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 Yet everyone was calling for his head during the season. Way to go Buffalo Fans. Fickle fans will always exist, some of them just want to complain for the sake of complaining. I try to stay positive until the very end, but some fans try to stay positive only after the Bills win the SB. Then they'll go back to negative when the team loses it's first game of the next year. It seems some fans only watch football because it gives them something to criticize.
jack_spikes Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 Well, if what they say about how fast word travels amongst the NFL coaching fraternity is true, Bobby April's letter should demonstrate that it's not the city or the fans that any prospective HC would have any problem with
sharper802 Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 Yes the special teams were very good for most of the last half of the decade. How many playoff trips did that turn into? Special teams don't matter unless you suck at them(ie. Kaeting in the playoffs). Just be competent by not turning the ball over, miss easy FG's, and avoid penalties that kill field position. Cribbs, Parrish, Hester best returners in the NFL the last 3-4 years. Bears still lose the SB becuase they had no offense and are now afwul along with the Bills and Browns. ST's don't represent 1/3 of the teams plays even though by looking at the Bills roster one would think they represnet 1/2. April was a great ST coach and wish him well. This teams needs a competent OC be it at the coordinator or HC spot. They can find anyone to make the ST's decent with Moorman and Lindell.
