Cyber War With China

Cyber attacks from mainland China hit about three dozen American companies

President Obama, who has repeatedly warned of the country’s vulnerability to devastating cyberattacks, has said nothing in public about one of the biggest examples since he took office. And the White House, while repeating Mr. Obama’s calls for Internet freedom, has not publicly demanded a Chinese government investigation. Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton, who had been the most senior U.S. official to talk of the seriousness of the breach, discussed it on Thursday with a Chinese diplomat in Washington, however, and a senior administration official said there would be a “démarche in coming days” — a diplomatic move.

A tepid response to be sure, but will there be something tougher to follow?

Of course not. Not from THIS Administration..or any other one.

China's allowed to do whatever it wants. Pollute...make substandard products, increase their military as they see fit, manipulate economic rules to fit their needs, whatever they want.

They are "catching up", you see.

The Washington Times reports that the administration has downgraded intelligence collection on China.

Cyber attacks, stealing technology, cheating on trade agreements, a massive arms buildup, militarizing space, threatening its neighbors, propping up North Korea, repressing its own people... Nothing to see here, folks, move along.
