eSJayDee Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 I was guessing the thing probably cost about $10k/hr to run. They quote ~$5k for fuel alone, so the cost well approach $20k! Not a cheap toy
Philly McButterpants Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 I want one . . . screw the mortgage payment this month.
Just Jack Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 Amateurs...I'm waiting for one of these. Cool.... As for the space shuttle main engines, those are now free. NASA advertised them in December 2008 for $400,000 to $800,000 each, but no one expressed interest. So now the engines are available, along with other shuttle artifacts, for the cost of transportation and handling. I'm gonna strap one to a Chevy Nova and find a dry lake bed out west.

Speaking of the Space Shuttle. You never know what you'll find in the Hangar
