Jim in Anchorage Posted January 16, 2010 Posted January 16, 2010 I need to paraphrase here as I don't have a transcript, just memory of what I heard when I happened to see the last 5 minutes of the NBC nightly "news" Brian Williams and Ann Curry are on camera outdoors in Haiti [thank goodness for "tough reporters"] Williams-"And they were desperately poor to begin with" Curry-"Yes, and we know nothing of their lives before the disaster-just like New Orleans" Will they ever quit? I think even bent face Williams was embarrassed by that one-he rapidly went to "well that concludes our broadcast for tonight"
