Big Turk Posted January 16, 2010 Posted January 16, 2010 Normally I am not a big Mort fan, but in this case, he is probably right. He said the reason Bills are having so many problems finding a coach is because the word around NFL circles is that there is just too much interference from the owner with regards to day to day decisions being made. Said one NFL executive told him the Bills have become almost as bizarre as the Raiders, but he said he didn't believe that. Said he cannot understand why the Bills haven't made more of a play for Marty Schottenheimer...

He wants a coach and that coach is there is two Mother@##$$%^^ Days!!!
Buffbills1fan Posted January 16, 2010 Posted January 16, 2010 Fine. But how in the Fkcu do they explain Dan Snyder??????????????????????????????????????? He wants a coach and that coach is there is two Mother@##$$%^^ Days!!! WELL SAID!!!
Rico Posted January 16, 2010 Posted January 16, 2010 Fine. But how in the Fkcu do they explain Dan Snyder??????????????????????????????????????? He wants a coach and that coach is there is two Mother@##$$%^^ Days!!! On a day-to-day basis, Ralph interferes MUCH more than Snyder does. Remember after Meathead left, the reports of constant phone calls from him all day long.
Mike in Syracuse Posted January 16, 2010 Posted January 16, 2010 Here's a newflash.....THEY OWN THE !@#$ING TEAM! If I spent $800 million on a football team you can bet your ass the coach is explaining the gameplan to me.
Maddog69 Posted January 16, 2010 Posted January 16, 2010 Fine. But how in the Fkcu do they explain Dan Snyder??????????????????????????????????????? He wants a coach and that coach is there is two Mother@##$$%^^ Days!!! Because the meddling owner in DC wants to win a Superbowl and is willing to commit the finances required to do so. The meddling owner here wants to balance the bottom line and will not commit to spending money to build a competitive team. That is exactly why neither Shanahan nor Cowher (nor any other top coach) will come here. Stop being so damn naive.
XTC Posted January 16, 2010 Posted January 16, 2010 On a day-to-day basis, Ralph interferes MUCH more than Snyder does. Ok, then how 'bout this then>>>>>>>>>Jerry Jones paces on the sidelines glaring at the assistant coaches when the Cowboys are losing........how do you like them double-standards. Face it, the country despises our small market asses and wishes that we would just crawl off in a hole and die!~!!!!!!!!
BuffaloRebound Posted January 16, 2010 Posted January 16, 2010 Fine. But how in the Fkcu do they explain Dan Snyder??????????????????????????????????????? He wants a coach and that coach is there is two Mother@##$$%^^ Days!!! Redskins are the pretty girl with a crazy father. Bills are the average/below average girl with a crazy father.

billsfan89 Posted January 16, 2010 Posted January 16, 2010 Here's a newflash.....THEY OWN THE !@#$ING TEAM! If I spent $800 million on a football team you can bet your ass the coach is explaining the gameplan to me. But at what point do you say I know enough to know that I don't know enough. If I was the owner I would want a guy to report to me on what the coach is doing and I would want my GM to explain to me what the hell we are doing philosophically BUT I am not going to tell my coach to do his job during the season let alone call him up all the time. To me I just want to know what general direction my team is going in BUT you shouldn't micro manage the team. How would you like it if your boss was up your ass every minute (And for those of you who already have that how do you like it) you have to trust the guy you hired to do the best job possible and if he under preforms for a prolonged period of time you can him and get someone else to do the job you want.
BillsWatch Posted January 16, 2010 Posted January 16, 2010 Redskins are the pretty girl with a crazy father. Bills are the average/below average girl with a crazy father. A crazy father with lots of stalker relatives who make up false rumors, other relatives constantly calling your relative cheap while at same time asking for handouts, an accountant who will tell the father only what he can handle, a house far to large and expensive for market and lots of press on doorstep telling him what to with his business.
XTC Posted January 16, 2010 Posted January 16, 2010 Redskins are the pretty girl with a crazy father. Bills are the average/below average girl with a crazy father. Nowwwwwwwwwwww we're getting down to real point of this exercise. Why doesn't the media just have out with it and stop dancing around the issue. It is far more patronizing the way they do it than just telling the truth. If Buffalo is the Walrus-faced date, Then F-them all...I hope this @#^&&&^* franchise stays around another hundred years just to be the sand in the shoe of the pie-faced maggots that chuckle over the misfortunes of the lowly Buffalo Bills, on national TV no less....MFers!!
jahnyc Posted January 16, 2010 Posted January 16, 2010 I think at this point it is becoming a necessity to hire Marty. We need someone with some stature to get what he needs from RW and the front office. I also think Marty could probably put a decent group of assistant coaches together, which will become an issue soon under the current circumstances.

Thurman#1 Posted January 16, 2010 Posted January 16, 2010 On a day-to-day basis, Ralph interferes MUCH more than Snyder does. Remember after Meathead left, the reports of constant phone calls from him all day long. First, no other coaches have reported those phone calls. And they would have. Ralph simply didn't trust him and wanted more info from him than normal. Second, those phone calls were reported as questions. Ralph wasn't telling him what to do, he was keeping track of what he was doing. He wants to know what is going on. His actual interference happens much less than Snyder from all accounts.

Why would Marty want to compete against his son twice a year???? Anybody ever consider that?
IndyJay1234 Posted January 16, 2010 Posted January 16, 2010 One of the best owners in the league is Jim Irsay. He is actually not a very smart football guy. He is just a fan. Smart enough to know he doesnt know **** about putting a team together. Irsay stays the hell out of Bill Polian's way and does what Bill Polian says. I dont believe he was fully on board with the decision to not go for perfection but Bill Polian makes the decisions and Irsay listens no matter what. Irsays father was Ralph Wilson type who meddled. The Colts sucked and sucked big time. Yes you spent a billion dollars to buy the team and you can do whatever you want... But Enjoy losing because Owners that try and play fantasy football generally lose.

IndyJay1234 Posted January 16, 2010 Posted January 16, 2010 Tell that to Jerry Jones. It took Jerry a long time to figure **** out and that was after hiring a football guy in Parcells that found a franchise undrafted QB like Romo. Jerry also found a way to screw up one of the all time great teams. The Cowbows of the early 1990s should have won 5 Superbowls. They won 3 and were such a talented team they won their 3rd with Barry Switzer as the coach.
