loyal2dagame Posted January 15, 2010 Posted January 15, 2010 could bobby april have been a big part of the problem with this team?(besides jauron) now, before you flame, hear me out. i'm not saying april was not a good coach, because he for sure was a great special teams coach in his stay here. for some reason i feel that in his prep of the special teams, he may have took away from the back ups ability to step in and be prepared for their regular positions. april's special teams, for the most part while here, were special. maybe these backups were so excited to be hearing praise from around the league, that they concentrated more on special teams than their positional roles. could this have contributed in the huge dropoff when players were injured? and who made the call to have f jack returning kickoffs and punts? was this question ever answered? i'm just growing tired of all the "who's the next coach?, the sky is falling" talk and figured i'd throw this out for discussion.
