voodoo poonani
Rolando McClain from Alabama is a STUD! I watched the national championship, and the guy was all over the place. He makes great reads and is a sure tackler (something the Bills have lacked for awhile now). He's the Patrick Willis of this draft, and should be there at 9. FluffHead
This is a two part video on McClain breaking down tackling, coverage, shedding blocks, blitzing, etc. part 1 Part 2 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uhG6bwopKTc...feature=related
Metal Man
I agree completely and so do a ton of people on the boards..... Translation, it almost definitely won't happen.

kclor
After the combine, no way he lasts until #9. This guy is an athletic freak and I am sure he will test off the charts.
dgrid
seems to have a nose for the ball. in NC game, even if he didnt make the tackle, seemed like he was always close to ball when played stopped.
Miyagi-Do Karate
Believe it or not, but I bet Maybin could be just as good at OLB. Maybin's probably the same size as McClain, and probably has better pass rushing skills.

billsfan89
If Leslie is our new head coach and we are sticking with a Tampa 2 or a 4-3 as our D then I feel like McClain would be a good pick up at pick 9. Put McClain at MLB and move Poz to OLB and get Mitchel back at the other OLB. It solves out OLB issue and helps out our run D. To me I would like them to take McClain at pick 9 and then trade back into the back end of the 1st round to take a LT and help out the O-line. HOWEVER if we go with Russ Grimm at Head Coach and want to switch to a 3-4 I don't know how well McClain translates to that type of D.

If I'm not wrong, he plays in the 3-4 now at Alabama
bills_red
Patrick Willis ran like a 4.4 40 and is fast as hell, while McClain is a great player he isn't nearly as fast. (unless he kills the 40 in Indy)
bills in va
No Way! He is good, but does he score? Does he block? We need OFFENSE! We need either a QB or LT with our first pick.
John from Riverside
- McClain is about a sure of a thing as there is in the draft....and makes sense my questions are - Are we then going to bring in a veteran guy like McNabb and groom Brohm for the future? - Is there a LT we can get in the 2nd round? I think McClain will also be a stud......its just that we will have a easier time finding free agent starting linebackers then we will free agent starting left tackles
