Chef Jim
I pull over when I hear the siren. I don't then pull back & speed up enough to get within reading distance of the firetruck. What are you doing driving behind firetrucks, that seems pretty dangerous? Unless you're a fireman or have taken a tour of a fire station, you shouldn't know that answer. Well first off firetrucks don't always drive with their siren on sometimes they're just out. Second when you pull over and they drive by you still can see the back of the truck as it goes by. Third and most important, what good old all American boy has not taken a tour of a fire department?
ExiledInIllinois
89% I missed two answers... And one of the answers I couldn't mark because the status bar interferred with the answer... I could only pick from three (which I knew was wrong)... Here it is: The intersection one... I couldn't pick choice 4 because the status bar was blocking that choice... Picked choice 3 and knew it was wrong. The other wrong answer gave me heartburn: The headlights one. I picked flashers and parking lights... They can pierce through the night without disturbing other drivers... Use this technique (along with aux/fog lights if you have them) if one is ever caught in blinding snow at night... The parking lights and 4 ways will pierce through the snow without bouncing off the blinding snow up high... Anyway, stopping could be more dangerous... What is wrong with the high-beams if nobody is coming at you?? At least one can go about their way!

Firetrucks (at least the ones I see) have a sign on it telling you how far to stay back. I remembered that distance. Heck when I am weeding wacking on the roadway... You want to stay back that far!
