PromoTheRobot Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 I have no idea if he is any good, but he looks like he's from WNY. The kind of guy you'd find in your local tavern with a Beef on Weck in one hand and a Genny Scream Ale in the other. He has coaching experience. He's used to bad ownership. In fact Ralph would look awesome compared to Al "Count Dracula" Davis. Plus I'm willing to bet at his first press conference, when Jerry Sullivan asks his usual snarky question, Cable will reach over and pound the living crap out him. PTR
playman Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 the raiders players from what ive read for me, id like him over trestman and sorts. but id really like a guy with some more football knowledge. though his fighting skills are awesome
CarolinaBill Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 only if cable can beat the **** out of marshawn lynch, maybe then he'll have some sense
Chalkie Gerzowski Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 can we hire Todd O'Connor too, maybe Bill and Bob Swerski?
The Helmet of Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 Bill Brasky for OCBill Brasky Oh yes -- Tom Cable surely is the man to bring respectability back to OBD

CarolinaBill Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 Bill Brasky for OCBill Brasky Brasky could right the ship

mob16151 Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 I wouldn't mind Cable as an assistant of some sort. Just not a HC.

PTR I think he is a great option to consider. Also, no coach has one the big one with two teams (I think that is a fact). He has never won one so that makes him more qualified over Billick, Cowher. Also, he has not been to the playoffs so he will be hungry to get there (Beef on Weck not withstanding). I am all for it. Next stop for the private jet is Oakland - is someone on the flight tracker yet?
NobesBLO13 Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 I'd take him, he's fat. The last time we had a fat head coach (Wade) we made it to the playoffs. And Wade wasn't even that fat.
Endzone Animal Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 I really liked Callahan if we're talking ex-Raiders coaches. He'd be perfect for Ralph...bad record, bad with the media, will take the NFL minimum and always seems to leave the teams he coaches much worse off than when he arrived.
