BUFFALOTONE
Future not Grimm in Buffalo? 10:10AM ET Buffalo Bills Top Email Although a billboard in the Buffalo area is pining for the Bills to hire Bill Cowher as the next head coach, it seems unlikely that will happen. So who does that leave for the Bills? It's looking like they'll be choosing from some high-profile coordinators and assistants, all of whom are still in the playoffs. Vikings defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier has already interviewed, and subsequent interviews are expected for Chargers DC Ron Rivera and Jets offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer. On "Sunday NFL Countdown" senior NFL analyst Chris Mortensen also threw Cowboys OC Jason Garrett's hat in the ring. On Monday afternoon, Jay Glazer of Fox Sports tweeted that the Bills have asked permission to interview Cardinals assistant coach Russ Grimm -- a founding member of the vaunted "Hogs" offensive lines with the Redskins. Unfortunately, according to the Arizona Republic, it would appear that Grimm is not interested at this time. So how close are the Bills to introducing their new coach to the loyal fanbase in Western New York? The team may have their man already, but they're going to have to wait until his current team is out of the playoffs. Here's NFL Insider Adam Schefter: Adam Schefter Frazier the leader right now "Vikings defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier is said to have had a highly impressive interview. Buffalo still is planning on conducting more interviews with more coaches involved in the playoffs, and their outlook always could change, but heading into the start of the postseason, Frazier is the temporary leader in the clubhouse. Also, Buffalo's interim head coach Perry Fewell is said to have had a more impressive interview than many realize. Buffalo has other assistant coaches it still wants to interview, but those coaches are involved in the playoffs and the Bills have not had access to them yet." McNabb off to the AFC? 10:46AM ET Donovan McNabb | Eagles | Interested: Bills?, Redskins?, Vikings?, Browns? Top Email Possible McNabb destinations * Depending on what Brett Favre does (we might not know until August, mind you), the Vikings might need a QB, given the Tarvaris-Rosenfels tandem as an alternative. * Jason Campbell might be back in D.C., but if not, it's a similar situation to Buffalo: they need a veteran as a stopgap while they develop the future franchise QB. * The Browns have two unstable QBs, and their new GM was in Philly for most of McNabb's career. Rich Hofmann of the Philadelphia Daily News wrote Friday that barring a long run to the Super Bowl, this postseason is probably it for Donovan McNabb as Eagles quarterback. If he's right, Saturday night's loss could be the beginning of the end for No. 5 in Philly. For his part, head coach Andy Reid seems adamant in his pro-Donovan stance. Asked in the post-game conference if he thought McNabb would be the team's starter in 2010, he said, "Yeah, I do," per 950 ESPN Radio's Brian Seltzer. One trade possibility -- if Reid is lying -- is the Buffalo Bills. As Bob Matthews of the Rochester Democrat and Chronicle writes, McNabb won't be the QB of the future for the Bills, but he could be a nice stopgap for a few seasons while they develop a younger replacement (possibly this year's No. 9 overall pick). It's wildly speculative, but it's that time of year. For some more hypotheticals, check the box to the right.

BUFFALOTONE
Jason Garrett was such a hot commodity the past couple years and now he's barely even mentioned. Apparently its due to what he is being paid already by JJ.
gobillsinytown
Apparently its due to what he is being paid already by JJ. I thing Jerry is grooming the guy to be the next HC. Not necessarily that Wade is going to be fired. If the Cowboys get to the superbowl Wade will be there for a while, but I think eventually Garrett will be the next HC
