Gday all.

Have any of you been to Samoa before?

I've just signed up with the New Zealand Habitat for Humanity to go to Samoa for 3 weeks to help rebuild some of their villages. We'll be based in Lepa, which experienced some of the worst of the Tsunami.

After my work duties are done, I hope to hang out for a few days and chill out.

If anyone has any tips or advice about Samoa, I'd really appreciate it.

Cheers,

Mark

I can't help you as I have not been there. However, I just wanted to say it's very cool that you are doing this.

I think a guy I work with was stationed there in the Navy... Or was that Guam?? Anyway... All I know is that he said there was a ton of snakes on the island!

Good luck Kiwi, I am sure you will do wonderful things and the people wil appreciate it very much!

Thanks for that guys. I'm really looking forward to the experience.

Anyone else volunteer with habitat with humanity before?

I know my sister does (or did)... I never got (or asked) about it... From what little I heard, she seemed to have high regard for the organization.

Again... Good luck... Unfortunaelty Haiti will need it 2. I would what role, if any the tsunami may have had with the equake? Can they "cross the data" somehow??
