Bring Back Kelly Posted January 11, 2010 Posted January 11, 2010 Interesting! He should have been the coach we hired instead of Jauron. If Marv had not had his grand vision of Dick Jauron as coach, maybe this guy would have been the coach. He is currently The Texas A&M coach. Not the hotbed for football in Texas
Sch94 Posted January 11, 2010 Posted January 11, 2010 I would def consider this if I was BILLS BRASS.
Bring Back Kelly Posted January 11, 2010 Author Posted January 11, 2010 Bring in the Shermanator! Preparing to deploy Beer.
Hanoverbills Posted January 11, 2010 Posted January 11, 2010 I take him over Frazier, Grimm and some of these other coaches they been talking about . He is a offensive mind coach, who has a winning record as a head coach. Knows how to coach in cold weather, being that he coached in Green Bay.
Heels20X6 Posted January 11, 2010 Posted January 11, 2010 You know...maybe there's a REASON no team has hired this guy since he was unceremoniously dumped by the Packers....
Fewell733 Posted January 11, 2010 Posted January 11, 2010 You know...maybe there's a REASON no team has hired this guy since he was unceremoniously dumped by the Packers.... isn't he an assistant coach for Texas A&M? no thank you.
BillnutinHouston Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 isn't he an assistant coach for Texas A&M? no thank you. No, head coach. He's no great shakes.
MaineMoxie Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 I had a post on here about this awhile back. He had one losing in season in Green Bay (his last) during which Javon Walker, Ahman Green, and Bubba Franks all went on IR early in the season. He was OC in Houston in 2007 when they improved to 14th from 28th in the league. He's only been at A&M for two years. His first year was terrible partly because he finished out the previous season with Houston and missed out on some of the recruiting prospects. He finished 6-6 this year.
Bring Back Kelly Posted January 12, 2010 Author Posted January 12, 2010 This guy could be a good coach to work with Buddy Nix. He had shared GM & coach responsibilities when he was at Green Bay. He knew he was better off being just a head coach, so I dont see him trying to take control like other coaches. He always had good running games where ever he was. He would be worth considering. But this is the Bills here. Whatever I expect or want them to do they do the opposite.
In-A-Gadda-Levitre Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 I also posted recently about the Sherminator as a potential candidate. You can argue his WC offense wouldn't work well in the swirling winds of RWS, but he should be someone that the Bills interview.
Bring Back Kelly Posted January 12, 2010 Author Posted January 12, 2010 To my knowledge the only guy who really sucked running the West Coast offense was Mariucci. I'm sure there are others but Maybe we need an offense that is a total change from what we use. I say focus on the run but have better pro sets to choose from. I dont know anymore. I'm so numb from all the crappy offense we use.
San Jose Bills Fan Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 I also posted recently about the Sherminator as a potential candidate. You can argue his WC offense wouldn't work well in the swirling winds of RWS, but he should be someone that the Bills interview. Actually you couldn't argue that. The West Coast Offense emphasizes the short passing game.
PromoTheRobot Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 You know...maybe there's a REASON no team has hired this guy since he was unceremoniously dumped by the Packers.... He's laying low until the right job comes along...THE BILLS! PTR
BobbyC81 Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 He's laying low until the right job comes along...THE BILLS! PTR Somebody needs to contact Nix. Maybe they haven't even thought of Sherman.
