BillsGuyInMalta Posted January 11, 2010 Posted January 11, 2010 it started well, but their D, like the team as a whole, completely fell apart during the season. They gave up close to 40 points against the Chiefs with a playoff appearance on the line! also, not only did he fail to win games in San Fran, the team seriously lacked discipline. If it wasn't for his firing, Vernon Davis probably would still be a mega-bust rather than the top young TE in the game and now a team captain. Don't get me wrong, totally not endorsing or supporting Mike Nolan. Just pointing out his similarities with Frazier.
BLZFAN4LIFE Posted January 11, 2010 Posted January 11, 2010 Um, no. A coordinator interested in becoming a head coach doesn't wait until after the season when he has the ability to take advantage of the bye week. If the Chargers go deep, the Bills will most likely have hired a coach before he's available. Apparently, he doesn't want to coach the Bills. Not surprising. Exactly.
thewildrabbit Posted January 11, 2010 Posted January 11, 2010 Jeez guys, stop taking it so personal. Gary Kubiak turned down jobs because he knew he wasn't ready, so has Jason Garrett. Not for nothing, I'm glad he turned down an interview. He didn't appear like that much of an upgrade from Jauron. Understand that nobody worked harder then Jauron, he did everything he could to help the team. He just didn't have what it takes.
thewildrabbit Posted January 11, 2010 Posted January 11, 2010 Glazer tweeted about it yesterday, but keep an eye out on Mike Nolan. At least Mike Nolan will get us away from the craptastic Tampa 2

More likely, given the choice he would rather win the Super Bowl and risk the loss of the Bills job, if we get someone else. If we don't get someone else, he is worth more, and if we do get someone else, he coaches somewhere else and enjoys his nice SB ring.
beerfriday Posted January 11, 2010 Posted January 11, 2010 I really wish the Bills would move so I could root for another team. Why don't you just leave now then?
Meark Posted January 11, 2010 Posted January 11, 2010 It's not shocking. It's pathetic. I really wish the Bills would move so I could root for another team. Why don't you move dipstick? I live in San Diego.. I still root for the Bills. Not sure what the team location has to do with anything. The Chargers have won 11 straight and are probably going to the Superbowl.. San Diego is also the most beautiful city in the continental US.. Why would Rivera leave for Buffalo? It has nothing to do with the roster.. They need an east coast guy to come in. Even approaching Rivera was stupid to begin with.
BLZFAN4LIFE Posted January 11, 2010 Posted January 11, 2010 Does Marv Levy still want to coach? He bought the groceries, let's see him make chicken salad!
Fan in San Diego Posted January 11, 2010 Posted January 11, 2010 If the guy really wanted a shot at being our head coach, he could find two hours to sit down with the Bills. I'm sure that they would come to him given the circumstances. People declining this coaching vacancy really speaks volumes about the state of this franchise. And people around here have the balls to chastise Jerry Sullivan and negative posters for being pessimistic all the time. He didn't decline, he said after the season is over. Besides it not 2 hours. It's more like a 5 hour flight there, 5 hours to meet, 5 hours to fly back. The day is shot. He doesn't have that kind of time during playoffs.
gobillsinytown Posted January 11, 2010 Posted January 11, 2010 There is a point to be made about letting Fewell and April go now. What a joke. Your avatar is nice. Drink a few more of those and relax.

Although I don't think approaching Rivera was a bad idea. I think sometimes these interviews are a way for people in the NFL to network. Glad you still root for the Bills, unlike some of the people who live in the city and are actually rooting for the team to leave, so the economy can take another devastating blow.
BillnutinHouston Posted January 11, 2010 Posted January 11, 2010 He bought the groceries, let's see him make chicken salad! That would be fitting punishment for his exceptional work as our GM!
