Dear Mr. Wilson, I Am Done With The Bills.

look at the opening paragraph in your post...you'll give up on the team if they hire a coordinator instead of someone who's proven.. why?

You seem to think you know we'll fail if we don't get a proven coach so that suggests psychic powers...if you ain't using them to win the lottery, you're wasting them.

Oh, and if you're gonna start calling me names, you better be man enough to do it to my face instead of from behind a keyboard like a coward

So now you're going to swear at him and call him a little girl, then call him a coward and imply you'd like to beat him up, then threaten to have him arrested (which I see you've now deleted) when he responds. You're wearing on me, bud.

So (to the OP) ... you're telling me that your first year as a fan was the year that we won the AFC East, clinching in week 12? That took a lot of dedication on your part. The problem with starting your fandom at that point is you became spoiled early on ... if only you were a fan a mere 5 years earlier and lived through back to back 2-14 years ... those are the seasons that cement your fanaticism for life. Be a fan of the team or don't be ... there is no need to tell us what you're doing.

Dude I WAS 9 YEARS OLD. How young would you have liked me to start watching them? By the way I was a fan becuse my father was fan, Believe me growing up where I did, it was not as popular to be a Bills fan as it is in WNY.

I like the Bills being in WNY numb nuts speak for yourself. If the Bills get a coach you don't like you don't want to be a fan anymore boo hoo you'll be the first back on the wagon once they start winning. And by the way the whole 'Bills Nation' is such a douche phrase

I always thought we were Bills Backers. :flirt:

I for one really liked your rant. I myself am finding less and less time to commit to this team. With a new job, a new house, and working a lot of weekends its very hard to set aside an entire Sunday to this team. I also find myself running out of excuses. "They were good once" - yea I was 6 years old the last time they went to the Superbowl and my only real memory is that I had Cowboy/Bills stickers on my lunch box - that might be a good thing though. "They are close to being at the top again" - I have said that since 1999, but the reality is no they arent. They are no closer to the Superbowl than they were Mike Williams rookie year. It takes a lot of hard work to rmain that bad for that long. "Maybe they just know somethign I dont" - What I have said every last saturday in April for years. I began to follow this team so closely and treated teh team like I was in the front office. I have had to suffer through mistakes like Whitner>Ngata, Losman, Hardy, McCargo, McKelvin>DRC, and now this years Maybin>Orakpo. This team has drafted 1 decent player with their last ten first round picks. Its sad that a kid with basic cable could post a better draft resume than an NFL franchise who spends God knows what on scouting. "There is always next year" - There is always next year, but that only means losing. I cannot even get excited for this team anymore. the turd simply cannot be polished anymore. I have seen enough of the terrible drafts and terrible FA aquisitions creating terrible rosters coached by terrible coaches paid by a terrible organization owned by a terrible owner. Buffalo and WNY is a great place, the team doesnt deserve this city/area. Lets get a real team here for once.

I am not buying into this "proven HC" thing. We need the right coach.

I bet you all enjoyed watching NE get their sh*t pushed in by Baltimore - well that could be us. Johns brother Jim is sitting out in Stanford waiting for an NFL job to come along. IMO Jim is a better ball coach than John. That Ravens team you saw play today, that could be our Bills in a season or two. Its as easy as that. Just hire Jim Harbaugh. But the sad part is, it wont be. We will bring in another joke of a coach, retain our joke scouting department, and add a couple more joke FAs and draft picks. Thats the truth of it. This team is a joke, and bad joke. There is no logical reason to think any differently. My blind admiration for this team has been used up. I just dont have it anymore. I am now purely logical in my fanhood, which is an awful thing for this putrid franchise.

I quoted exactly what you said. You had to know by coming here and posting this that you'd end up getting flame sprayed. This is a Buffalo Bills fan website the is frequented by believe it or not DIE HARD BILLS FANS.

No your right, and I do expect it. But I think it is something that needs to be addressed. And yes I am a die hard Bills fan, I just expect more from the organization. I think they owe all of us big time for our dedication to them. Where is their commitment to us?

Who the f*ck said I knew who would work out as head coach? I am talking about actually showing some respect to the fans for the first time in years and us as fans standing up and demanding accountability. I'm arguing for you too you stupid ass.

If by that you mean you are writing on behalf of other Bills' fans, please don't include me. If you want to quit, by all means do it.

I'm sorry, I wasn't trying to be critical of how old you were in '88 ... but trust me ... it wasn't easy to be a fan in WNY in the early 80s either. More people go to every Sabres game now than went to Bills games during those years. My point was simply that it unfortunate that you could start earlier because you would have gotten used to the idea that there are many down years along with the few up years. Bummer for you ... still, if you want to leave, just go ... don't expect a throng of people trying convince you to stay.

Dude how old are you? Ok bro I'm like 6'4 and 280 and I work out all the time so I can kick your ass!!!! Grow up man. By the way the post is about showing a commitment to the fans. Hiring a coordinator hardly does that...would you disagree?

anyway, you missed some earlier posts...no coach has ever won SB's with 2 teams...so bringing in Cowher promises us nothing...and they're doing everything short of putting a gun to his head to try to bring him in anyway

The so-called best coach in the NFL just got beat in the playoffs by a 2nd year head coach....so a coordinator CAN work.

A commitment to the fans is doing what they can to bring in the best coach they can, who they feel will work...and they don't have to agree with you, me, or anyone else here on who that man is. My choices were Shanahan, Cowher, and Gruden...2 are out and the 3rd is a longshot right now. Guess what? I'm not gonna be a baby and cry and abandon the franchise if I don't get my way because you know what? I know I don't know everything...and I know that you CAN'T FORCE COWHER TO COACH HERE!!

Exactly. Western New York deserves better. We all deserve better. Let me ask all you haters out there. What if this team goes through three more sh*tty head coaches in the next 7 years? Never finishes above .500, continues to not spend money, raises ticket prices, players we develop continue to resign and shine somewhere else, and the team is a weekly punchline on ESPN???? Will you still follow blindly? I mean when is enough enough?

I don't know if I'm a "hater" but I'll answer ...

Part of being a Bills fan is about regionalism for me. It's like rooting for the US Hockey team in a few weeks. Would I wear a Team USA jersey ... in a heartbeat. What if they stocked the team with rejects from a Tim Bits hockey team? Absolutely! If they hired the Butcher to coach 'em? I'd be frustrated, but they are still my team because I am an American ... maybe a little hokey, but that is the truth. I'm from Buffalo. I root for the Bills & Sabres, good, bad or terrible. They make bad decisions ... I hate it, but they are still my team.

BTW ... Amherst is not the only nice place in metro Buffalo ... plenty of good in the Southtowns, too.

Wait your not from the Obama administration are you? Because if that's the case I don't want to end up in Guantanimo. No I am threatening the Bills (not you). I DON"T WANT to stop being a Bills fan and even if I stop watching and seeing them play I will always be a fan. As you all know it's not something you just stop being. I just think they owe all of us a hell of a lot more than what we have gotten from them. And I won't waste another second of my time if they refuse to commit to us as fans.

I don't know who will make a great coach either, but I do know they need to re establish some credibility in order to attract talented players and personel. And they are not going to do that with another unproven hire.

Umm you can follow the team by many means, you can go to the stadium, watch TV or listen to the radio or on the internet.

Its your decision on how deeply you follow the team, if what your post said happens, which I doubt, then you can take your entertainment dollars elsewhere, maybe WAY before 7 yrs lol.

sure we deserve better, but all we can do is wait and see what happens dude.

Dear Buffalo Bills and Bills Fans Worldwide:

(forgive me if this is a bit long)

I've been watching the Bills since I was 9 years old back in 1988. I have followed them through thick and thin. I can honestly say that if the Bills hire Leslie Frazier or another up and comming coordinator to be the head coach instead of doing whatever it takes to get a proven leader in here, than I am done with this organization. You will have to prove to me that this team is worth MY TIME instead of the other way around.

I do not take this decision lightly, nor do I go off spouting idle threats or feeling sorry for myself or other fans. This decision is based in common sense and logic. It has been a long time dream of mine to watch the Bills win a Superbowl standing next to my father as we celebrate together. But the older he gets, and this franchise becomes more of a joke, the time invested seems like a complete waste. The older I get, and more responsibilities I take on, I find myself having less and less time to commit to passions of my youth. All of my time has become a premium that must be divided among my family, firends, work, clients, and just living life. The older I get and more responsibilities I have as a husband, a son, a future father, and a business owner leaves me less and less time everyday for personal activiites like watching the Bills. The fact that my free time is decreasing everyday, every minute becomes more and more important and I have less and less of it to waste on an organization that is not commited to their fans.

The fact that this organization has lost for years is not what really depresses me, the idea that this team has become a joke, and the management will cease to do anything to correct it is what really concerns me. It should be TRAVESTY to this organization that qualified coaches are not jumping at that chance to captain this ship. The idea that the front office has bought into the idea that being the head coach of the Buffalo Bills is a second rate job is not only stunning and dissapointing, but also unbelievably disrespectful to the fans and the enitre region of Western New York.

This organization has shown zero commitment to make this franchise better for the people who have dedicated enormous amounts of their time, energy and money to it. This organization hired an inside candidate to take the GM position without even looking outside the organization, when the enitre NFL universe knows that the entire organization is completely dysfunctional, full of "yes men" and incompentant. This organization has ruined and injured countless promising players and ended careers prematurly due to the desire to not pay for competent help when players have been injured, thus leaving the players they actually do care about exposed to depending on teammates who are not skilled enough to proetect them. This organization has let pride and ego get in the way of winning, running some of the best football minds in the business out the door over petty arguements and personal vendettas. This organization has managed to turn what used to be one of the best blue collar franchises in American Sports history into a depressed joke of franchise that has become a punch line waiting to be put out of it's misery.

Medicority is not tollerated in my business, or in my life, and will not be tolerated by the franchises I chose to spend my very valuable time and money on. This is it Bills, start making some serious moves to make this organization better or start losing fans.

I encourage all Bills fans to hear this letter and demand today that the Bills truly commit to becoming a winning organization that we can be proud of. It is D-DAY in Bills Nation and the organization needs to hear our plea. Get to fixing these problems or dare I say it......... get the hell out of Wetsern New York and let us get on with our lives

That's weak, I'm the same age as you and I was goin to games in '85 and '86!
