Fingon Posted January 10, 2010 Share Posted January 10, 2010 There is a rule, that if you make the final 8 teams left in the post-season, you cannot sign a FA unless you lose one. The Cowboys are in the final 8, so they will have to let people go if Jerry Jones wants to spend big this off season. This will undoubtedly help teams like us, because the big spenders might have to let good mid-tier FAs go in order to get their star FA pick ups. Ed_Formerly_of_Roch Posted January 10, 2010 Share Posted January 10, 2010 There are alot of rules regarding free agency in uncapped years, it's not the great thing it sounds for the players, I believe they need six years i nthe league instead of four to become an un-restricted FA.
