Niagara Bill Posted January 10, 2010 Posted January 10, 2010 Buddy Nix has never hired a coach in his life. No one in the Bills office has ever hired a successful coach. So who makes the judgements? Ralph has never been right. Brandon doesn't know how to throw a football, Modrak supported all the guys in the past 8 to 10 years and should be fired as well. This is classic, blind leading the blind.

BillsVet Posted January 10, 2010 Posted January 10, 2010 Ralph signs the checks.................................. And one would think RW would admit to himself that his track record of hiring HC's and GM's isn't all that great since firing Polian in February 1993. I wish more owners were like Arthur Blank, who delegates football decisions to football people. They make sure he knows what's going on, but Blank doesn't believe he know how to make the decisions.
apuszczalowski Posted January 10, 2010 Posted January 10, 2010 This has already been discussed and there are quotes from the front office that explain this. Buddy Nix and his staff will interview the guys on their list of candidates. They will then chose their top 2-3 choices to Ralph Wilson. They will then discuss the choice with Ralph and make a decision together. So what that Nix hasn't hired a coach in his life, he has been around football along time and has been around alot of good coaches. What makes the fans think they know more then an owner who has been around for over 50 years and guys who are actually employed by NFL teams?
Fewell733 Posted January 10, 2010 Posted January 10, 2010 I'd imagine that Nix and Brandon would work to come to a consensus (probably not too hard) and then, no matter what, would have to sell it to Ralph
Ed_Formerly_of_Roch Posted January 10, 2010 Posted January 10, 2010 First off you don't know that Nix has never hired a coach. He's never hired an NFL head coach. Has he hired coaches at other levels, who knows. I'm also sure he was involved with the hiring process in San Diego and other locactions he's been at. Buddy Nix has never hired a coach in his life. No one in the Bills office has ever hired a successful coach. So who makes the judgements? Ralph has never been right. Brandon doesn't know how to throw a football, Modrak supported all the guys in the past 8 to 10 years and should be fired as well. This is classic, blind leading the blind. The bills just did delagte football decisons to a football person, his name is Buddy Nix. Just becasue you read in the paper here that Nix and RB will run it by RW to get hisfinal approval doesn't mean things are any different with other teams. I wish more owners were like Arthur Blank, who delegates football decisions to football people. They make sure he knows what's going on, but Blank doesn't believe he know how to make the decisions. It is amazing how smart people on message boards think they are. It's even more amazing that most of them aren't already coaching in the NFL. What makes the fans think they know more then an owner who has been around for over 50 years and guys who are actually employed by NFL teams?
Dan Posted January 10, 2010 Posted January 10, 2010 I'm pretty sure Schefter is making the final call.
