Kingfish Posted January 10, 2010 Posted January 10, 2010 He has had one bad year his short career so far and fans act like he is a complete bust who has done nothing. He has been to the Pro Bowl and the fastest Bill to reach 2,000 yards in his career. You don't think a team would give a 2nd for that? Why do people keep repeating this like it means anything? That just puts him in the "illustrious" company of Bobby Humphrey, Johnny Johnson, Gaston Green, Harold Green, Lorenzo White, Natrone Means, Craig Heyward, Jamal Anderson, Charlie Garner, and Michael Bennett as RB's who made one Pro Bowl while amounting to little else. The thousand yard argument that many posters like to make is even more laughable when you go back and look at some of the RBs who topped this milestone over the last 20 years-Raymont Harris, Gary Brown, Olandis Gary, James Allen, Tyrone Wheatley, Anthony Thomas, Dominic Rhodes, Rueben Droughns, Tatum Bell, Barry Word, Reggie Cobb, Cleveland Gary, Erric Pegram, Ronald Moore, Reggie Brooks, Erricht Rhett, Rashaan Salaam, Harvey Williams, Anthony Johnson, and Karim Abdul-Jabbar. That's some impressive company!
Fan in San Diego Posted January 10, 2010 Posted January 10, 2010 Dude is as dumb as a hammer. Probably should part company with him now before another big suspension.
freeagentqb Posted January 10, 2010 Posted January 10, 2010 One time after I had finished dinner at Salvatores Italian Gardens, I approached the after dinner candy mint bowl when this fella that looked a lot like ML pushed me aside and proceeded to take TWO heaping spoonfuls of candy mints. He glared at me and said "I got your share punk. What with my grandmother at my side I did not want to escalate the situation, so I backed away from the bowl. What a thug.......

This is gonna be like the Tiger situation. Everyday, a new person will come out claimingLynch stole $20 from them. Police will start connecting the dots and realize the Lynch is actually "the $20 Burglar," who has been ripping people off all over the country. If we didn't have Jackson, I'd take this story more serious. Either way, the idea of millionaire stealing $20 from people seems very funny.

ExiledInIllinois Posted January 10, 2010 Posted January 10, 2010 Being discussed in the other thread... Ya, ML is a douchebag... He signed the card for 20 bucks. What? The guy expected his services for free. Lapsley said he worked for a recruiting office that finds a job for people... Does he do that for free? Again... Not defending ML... Yes, a bit awkward, but not unreasonable... Many players will only sign for money... Especially an adult... Maybe Lapsley should have used a child as a decoy. Here is the story... Why should he do it for free? He would be pestered all day. They didn’t approach Lynch on the spot, but soon would at the mall’s food court. “We went to the food court to get something to eat and he was standing in the food court with a few players from the Bills that were around him,” Lapsley said. “We went up to him and I was like hey, can I have your autograph”? “I didn’t have anything on me other than a $20 dollar bill and my business card from work. So I gave them to him and thought that’s a pretty cool prize and said do you think you can sign this? He said no, but I’ll hold it. I thought he was joking.” He wasn’t. “He asked me what I did (for a living),” Lapsley said. “I told him I was a recruiter for an employment company–a local employment agency. I helped people get jobs. The guys with Lynch we’re joking, saying they need jobs. I laughed and said I think you guys are pretty OK. “ Lapsley said that Lynch then asked him for another business card. Lapsley gave it to him and Lynch took the $20 bill, wrapped it around the business card and put them in his pocket. He then signed the back of the other card, gave it to Lapsley and walked away.

ExiledInIllinois Posted January 10, 2010 Posted January 10, 2010 Sounds to me the guy with the 20 was stupid. Let him sign the business card and show ML no money. Gotta admit ML is shrewd and knows how to work people's mistakes. I work for the gov't... It is like me going on TDY at a busy hotel and then calling the hotel saying that I need a reservation with the gov't rate. Of course they are going to say no there is no vancancy since they don't want to give me the cheaper rate at the expense of higher paying guests. What you do is make the reservation first then hit them for the gov't rate. Are people really stupid... Again maybe ML is as awkward as a Russian around Bob Kraft's SuperBowl ring... But he nows how to play the do re mi to his advantage. "I thought he was giving it to me." Get a clue people!

PushthePile Posted January 11, 2010 Posted January 11, 2010 Jerry Sullivan article from Sunday , Jan 10, 2009 @ 10:33pm http://www.buffalonews.com/opinion/columns...ory/918442.html Accurate article from Jerry. Lynch is a talented player but he fails as a person.
BillsRUs Posted January 11, 2010 Posted January 11, 2010 I like how he's racing his car in the locker room. Is he 10? Really??! Now that I think about it, if we were to add his petulant attitude, his racing toy cars in the locker room and his $20 shakeups......kinda seems to me like we're dealing with a grown man with the mind of a 10 year old bully. I can now totally see him wearing a red cape and trying to fly around like superman while making "whooosh" noises and getting angry when caught, shaking the person down for a twenty.
BLZFAN4LIFE Posted January 11, 2010 Posted January 11, 2010 Accurate article from Jerry. Lynch is a talented player but he fails as a person. The Bills are evaluating their entire operation. They should take a long, hard look at their troubled running back. Any serious evaluation of Lynch has to conclude that he's headed for more trouble, and the worst might be yet to come. Let it be elsewhere. Trade him, cut him, but get Lynch out of our town, before he does something truly regrettable. I'm with Sully on this one. Lynch seems destined for an orange jumpsuit.

So...why did the dude pull out a $20 bill in the first place? If I'm looking for an autograph (and I never am), I'm pulling out something to write with, something to write on (like the biz card) and NOTHING else, hoping the athlete signs it for free. Pulling out both is like saying "here, sign this for $20."

zazie Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 UPDATE.... Jan 12, 2009 http://www.97rock.com/Article.asp?id=1656235&spid=21993 this is the military veteran story buying bachelor party gifts, right from his own mouth. this is NOT the police officers wife story. The military veteran I must say, is a jerk-off. Adults shouldn't be asking for things to be autographed by athletes. Trix are for Kids. And if they do, and end up with something they can sell on ebay later, well, they should pay. Ex-players MAKE A LIVING going to these autograph shows and siging for $10 or $20 a pop. I am sure that there is smoke to all these uncomfortable allegations and Lynch is a cheap-ass, intmidating, threatening even, close to petty thief character. But the story here, the other guy was wrong, plain and simple. Next time use a kid as a ruse; should ML snag the $20 bucks for a kid, that would be a lot more telling.

Mediocre RB's are a dime a dozen, and ones with on and off the field problems can be had for a case of Coors. Nobody will give even a 4th for Lynch. Which is why it is best to keep him. He may have value as a FB at some point in his horrible career.
....lybob Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 Defacing money is against the law that guy tried to have Marshawn do a criminal act - he kept the $20 and business card as evidence- and signed the other card as proof of the incidence- you go Marshawn stop those scofflaws.
