nucci Posted January 10, 2010 Posted January 10, 2010 How did his replacement do in the playoffs? I, forgot, we didn't make the playoffs....... You forgot we didn't make the playoffs?
prissythecat Posted January 11, 2010 Posted January 11, 2010 I don't agree that they are a one dimensional team at all. They had a record setting offense this year, and their younger players really showed up at times. They were banged up on D, but I expected Donovan and the boys to have a much better showing on offense. The Eagles ranked 22nd in rushing offense in 2009. How can that not be one dimensional? Since Dallas wasn't afraid of the run, they pretty much teed of on McNabb and the passing game the whole time...

Their overall ranking this year was affected by Westbrook being banged up and having to rely more on McNabb than they may have wanted to. But if you look at the RB stats, all three backs (McCoy, Weaver, Westbrook) avg more than 4.0 ypc....so when they're healthy, they are definitely not a one dimensional team.

But thats exactly the point. They relied on McNabb way too much and neglected to keep teams honest by pounding the ball. YPC doesn't mean a thing if you barely run the ball.
