ExiledInIllinois Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 If the shoe fits ... I guess the cop-out part didn't get through. Nice pile on.
DC Tom Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 I do. It is just that I won't be able to get through... I will just get the: "He's babbling" "Eric's a retard" cop-out. Why should I put you guys through all the grief? I can if you want, but I think Darin is ready to slit his wrists. But...you are a babbling retard. So what the !@#$ does it matter?
Chalkie Gerzowski Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 he's articulate ~ Joey Biden his time.
Jim in Anchorage Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 As a result of this discussion, I have changed my registration from independent to Democrat so I can speak as I please.I now can refer to the colored in any way I wish. Right Exiled?
Jim in Anchorage Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 I don't have a problem with what Reid said if I understand the context. Basically he was alluding to the point that a guy like Al Sharpton isn't getting elected in this life time but someone like Obama or Colin Powell certainly could. I'd like to thank everyone for getting all up in arms about reality because the media basically told you to. As far as Eric's point goes: Eric's a friggin' retard. So the entire focus of the Democratic party is to get someone who is fully/somewhat/vaguely of African descent in the white house, regardless of qualifications? Thats who I what running the country.
Alaska Darin Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 I do. It is just that I won't be able to get through... I will just get the: "He's babbling" "Eric's a retard" cop-out. GG Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 So the entire focus of the Democratic party is to get someone who is fully/somewhat/vaguely of African descent in the white house, regardless of qualifications?Thats who I what running the country. Not quite what he said. A race baiting polarizing black candidate would never win an election. But a populist, eloquent guy who comes at the right time, will - regardless of color.
Endzone Animal Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 Big deal. So Harry Reid said Obama was the perfect Uncle Tom candidate... what's wrong with that? Light skinned (half white even!), doesn't speak like a typical negro (can even pronounce "ask" properly!), but can still put on good minstrel shows to rally the negroid audiences if necessary... and without having to apply any blackface! Harry was obviously complimenting Obama. Besides, his stellar rating with the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, and support of the most liberal social programs, is proof that "Massah" Reid (as he's known amongst friends) has a long, rich history of being very pro-negro.
ExiledInIllinois Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 You give yourself entirely too much credit. So do you. I guess that is off setting.
ExiledInIllinois Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 But...you are a babbling retard. So what the !@#$ does it matter? With all your supposed expertise and education, you are worse. What the !@#$ are you doing here if you claim to be so erudite. Slumming?
ExiledInIllinois Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 So the entire focus of the Democratic party is to get someone who is fully/somewhat/vaguely of African descent in the white house, regardless of qualifications?Thats who I what running the country. NEWSFLASH: Obama is more qualified to be President than the last 3 republican presidents.
Chef Jim Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 NEWSFLASH: Obama is more qualified to be President than the last 3 republican presidents. Based on what? Popularity?
ieatcrayonz Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 Depends, maybe. Doesn't allow you to get a free pop-shot in there using it like how Tom uses the word sand !@#$. Show some respect. What are you a nine year old child. I am glad you feel better gettinf it off your chest. Oh, BTW... I am not offended by your use of the word... It was proper. Iam just offended by you lackhe lack of respect. You guys are really incorrigible. So let me see if I have this right. If a conservative dude like LABillz says something racist, it is racist. If a liberal dude like blzrul says something blantanly racist it is fine. If a conservative black dude like Chef Jim says something racist, it depends. Did I get it tight?
ExiledInIllinois Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 Based on what? Popularity? No. Based on qualifications to lead. Of course we will never agree Chef. I believe you or others on this board are flat out stupid if they think Obama is not qualified. Case in point: Some on this board would actually throw a presidental vote towards somebody who may be a poster here. How stupid is that. Vote for me... I am running for prez.
keepthefaith Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 NEWSFLASH: Obama is more qualified to be President than the last 3 republican presidents. List his qualifications please. Just give us the top 5.
Chef Jim Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 No. Hey great job explaining what those qualifications are that Obama has that are greater than Bush/Bush/Reagan. I never said Obama was not qualified you said more qualified. Now, try a again. What exactly makes him MORE qualified? If it's your opinion that he's more qualified that's fine, but I'd like to know what you base that opinion on.
ExiledInIllinois Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 So let me see if I have this right. If a conservative dude like LABillz says something racist, it is racist. If a liberal dude like blzrul says something blantanly racist it is fine. If a conservative black dude like Chef Jim says something racist, it depends. Did I get it tight? Not exactly tight. Depends... They are both racist then. One can be considered more dangerous if the have the social power to act on their racist beliefs. Don't get me wrong, the other can be just as incideous. Reid is giving more credibility by who he is and his beliefs to be given the benefit of doubt that maybe his words were awkward. Lott is not given that benefit of doubt. Again, nothing equal here. It really boils down to the PERSON who is actually doing the speaking... Everything is case by case when studying a person's words. I am sure there may be some republicans that could have gotten away with what Reid said... Not many, but some.
Chef Jim Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 List his qualifications please. Just give us the top 5. 1. He's been responsible for balancing a budg....oh wait no. 2. He's run a state governme....oh wait no. 3. He's run a busine....oh wait no. 4. He's dealt with two houses legisla.....oh wait no. 5. He's really articulate.............THAT'S IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If it's your opinion that he's more qualified that's fine, but I'd like to know what you base that opinion on. Of course it is my oipinion. I belie he is more qualified to take the country down the path that I see is the right path. I have liberal socialist beliefs... He has liberal socialist beliefs. There, I said those dirty words. That probably scares you. Don't worry, he won't be in office too much longer and we will get the same cluster !@#$ that has been existing between the parties every 4-8 years. As much as I disagreeed with the past republicans and the Clinton's... They never scared me.
ieatcrayonz Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 Not exactly tight. Depends... They are both racist then. I am sure there may be some republicans that could have gotten away with what Reid said... Not many, but some. So it is ok for liberals to look down on everyone because they claim they're trying to help while they're really just on a power grab. But it is not ok for conservatives to look down on everyone because they don't claim they're trying to help while they're really just on a power grab. I think I get what you're saying. Random BS counts, even when exposed as a racist. This is good news for Reid and all people who think dialect is directly related to skin color.
