PromoTheRobot Posted January 9, 2010 Posted January 9, 2010 The Bills never contacted him. This is a face-saving move. PTR
Arkady Renko Posted January 9, 2010 Posted January 9, 2010 There's nothing new in this article. Schott Jr. would never be talking about other jobs when he is preparing for the playoffs and cannot be interviewed anyway.
Beastly Dareus Posted January 9, 2010 Posted January 9, 2010 Brain Schottenheimer is a few years away from becoming a Head coach i think I doubt he will take a HC job right now

Beastly Dareus Posted January 9, 2010 Posted January 9, 2010 Again, I ask...but Leslie Frazier is different, because? Again Leslie Frazier has a bye week in the playoffs, therefore he is able to interview but must seek permission from his team to sign a contract before they are removed from the playoffs. reddogblitz Posted January 9, 2010 Posted January 9, 2010 Good. I'm glad he's not interested. Brian Billick is. Sometimes you gotta go to the dance with the one that wants to go with you and stop chasing the ones that don't.
RayFinkle Posted January 9, 2010 Posted January 9, 2010 http://www.latimes.com/sports/football/nfl...0,6288431.story Brian can not be contacted yet. Do you expect him to say anything other than he loves the Jets a day before one of the biggest games of his coaching career?
bbb Posted January 9, 2010 Posted January 9, 2010 This doesn't sound like Sr. is definitely "DONE" "He's told me for the last probably two years that he's done," Brian Schottenheimer said. "I think if it was the right job, I think he would listen, but at the end of the day, it would take a heck of a lot to convince him to come off the golf course and go back to work."
papazoid Posted January 9, 2010 Posted January 9, 2010 we want his dad anyways......at least i do...... can't wait to be stuck with a problem coach who goes 14-2 in regular season , but not far in playoffs. just get me there!!....i'll deal with it then.
DarthICE Posted January 9, 2010 Posted January 9, 2010 "I think if it was the right job, I think he would listen, but at the end of the day, it would take a heck of a lot to convince him to come off the golf course and go back to work." Humm and Marty said he wasn't interested in the Buffalo job...
papazoid Posted January 9, 2010 Posted January 9, 2010 i honestly think that the bills are waiting for Cowher to accept the bills job. if cowher removes himself from the bills job, Nix will immediately make contact with Marty. i think it would be embarrassing to Marty to get him dangling, only to pull the rug out from under him if cowher says yes.
Chick Marmelade Posted January 9, 2010 Posted January 9, 2010 That article is two days old. Who knows what RB and Nix are doing except flying to Hickory and buying furniture from High Point... Ralph has apparently authorized an unlimited budget for new office furniture!

Maybe not...but this does... “And from the coaching standpoint of it, you know, I’ll be very candid with you and say it’s nice to think that people would consider you but the reality of it is is that after 30 great years I’m really not going to go back down that road again.” http://blogs.buffalobills.com/2009/11/24/s...oaching-rumors/ Thank God! NO MARTY BALL...but I will take Brian ball!

NO MARTY BALL...but I will take Brian ball! that article and politically correct quote is 45 days old.....things change. Marty's own son was just quoted 3 days ago as saying it was possible, i would say next to marty's wife, his own son has the most credible and reliable insight into his fathers thinking: "He's told me for the last probably two years that he's done," Brian Schottenheimer said.
