Then today he says, "yeah they talked," like it was common knowledge and no big deal, and went on to say the Bills were/are trying very hard to land him but it just isn't the "perfect job" for him. That's backtracking as not to look foolish. Not only did he dismiss Cowher coming to the Bills, but he also said that the most likely candidate to end up here is Jim Haslett. At that point, whatever respect I had for chicken little as a "Senior NFL reporter" quickly flew out the window and started to declare, "the sky is falling, the sky is falling."

In other words, what the Bills should have been doing all season. And if Buffalo does draft a new quarterback of the future — as they should — Schottenheimer can tap into his experience with Sanchez.

He wouldn't be surprised with the connection of Nix that they both end up with the Bills and one of them will serve as head coach and the other as offensive coordinator.It has already been speculated that the son gets the HC job while the dad gets to be a consultant.

Thurman#1 Posted January 8, 2010 Posted January 8, 2010 Who was his quarterback???? Not anyone REMOTELY like Edwards, Fitzpatrick, or the other fools we've had here since 1996!!! Neil O'Donnell... and his stats say he's miles better than any of them. How's that for history? He had an offensive line way better than what our guys have. If whoever becomes coach radically improves the OL, QB performance will go up a great deal.

I said something about that, especially son Brian, back when the Shanahan stuff was going on...and EVERYBODY ripped on me for offering the idea of Schotty JR...but, HIS TEAM IS IN THE PLAYOFFS THIS YEAR and they have a very good offense, I dont care what people say about Sanchez, the unit all around him on offense is very solid.

Guest dog14787 Posted January 8, 2010 Posted January 8, 2010 I would actually prefer this over Cowher. (SORRY) Marty has a history of winning fast (just not in the playoffs). So he turns it around for a few years and then hands the reins over to his son. Sounds good to me! I can dream..... Its a good dream and one that could very well happen.
