bkc Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 I have to say I never really got the Russ Grimm love affair but If we are going after Leslie Frazier I will drive to Arizona to pick up Big Russ
Pine Barrens Mafia Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 I have to say I never really got the Russ Grimm love affair but If we are going after Leslie Frazier I will drive to Arizona to pick up Big Russ Word. Russ for HC. No one else will do for this Bills fan.
Hazed and Amuzed Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 I have to say I never really got the Russ Grimm love affair but If we are going after Leslie Frazier I will drive to Arizona to pick up Big Russ Can you at least give us reasons that Russ is so much better then frazier?
In-A-Gadda-Levitre Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 Can you at least give us reasons that Russ is so much better then frazier? he's an offensive coach, with expertise in OL and run game
drg2021 Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 I have to say I never really got the Russ Grimm love affair but If we are going after Leslie Frazier I will drive to Arizona to pick up Big Russ Wivb reports Russ turned down an interview request from the Bills. Now this is getting just plain sad.
Josh Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 Yep. Just about the post the thread, but I guess this is already started. Grimm not interested. http://www.wivb.com/dpp/sports/bills_and_n...gets-more-names
bkc Posted January 6, 2010 Author Posted January 6, 2010 Wivb reports Russ turned down an interview request from the Bills. Now this is getting just plain sad. is that true ?
silvermike Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 Grimm can't interview until the Cardinals are eliminated. Or at least, not without special permission. "Rejected" is different than "Said he was busy with the playoffs"
BEAST MODE BABY! Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 Can you at least give us reasons that Russ is so much better then frazier? Frazier runs a version of the Tampa 2. So, say hello to cornerbacks who continue to give receivers a 15 yard cushion.
Hazed and Amuzed Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 Frazier runs a version of the Tampa 2. So, say hello to cornerbacks who continue to give receivers a 15 yard cushion. Well that's enough for me, seriously it is.
Dan Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 Because he's still under contract and still in the playoffs, don't the Bills have to get permission from the Cardinals FO before they can even ask for an interview? Maybe they turned the Bills down and Grimm is just following the party line?

So we shouldn't have let Winfield and Williams go because they're awesome in Minnesota, but Minnesota has a terrible defense?
Ozymandius Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 Grimm can't interview until the Cardinals are eliminated. Or at least, not without special permission. "Rejected" is different than "Said he was busy with the playoffs" Not quite. The Bills would've had to put in a written request to interview Grimm this week and then hold the interview next week. This goes for all assistant coaches involved in wild card games (Grimm, McDermott, Schotty II). Coaches with byes like Frazier have to be interviewed this week. It's very possible the report is accurate and Grimm rejected an interview request. Which would be disappointing, since he's probably my favorite out of all the candidates without previous head coaching experience. But it's also possible he doesn't want to think about any coaching opportunities at all until his current team is eliminated.

Still, there's a lot of ground between "I don't want the job" and "Talk to me after the playoffs."
Ozymandius Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 True dat, I just hope the latter is what he is saying.
