Brian Brohm by Jonathan Maurer Jonathan MaurerContributor 6 articles written 1 comments written 1 fans View Profile . Contributor Written on January 04, 2010 The Answer at the QB position is not Trent Edwards, or Ryan Fitzpatrick, Not a 2010 draft pick. Who is it? Brian Brohm former Louisville star qb and packers 2008 second round pick. Brohm was cut by the packers earlier this season now I don't think brohm will be better than rodgers but i think he can be an elite qb. he did throw 2 picks in his first start but that was his first start. he is very talented. he has an arm like favre. if the bills where smart they would start brohm next season. The thing that the bills need an offensive line and a recieving tight end. They can't expect to draft a qb in the first round they have other issues like i mentioned o-line they are worst in the league at run defense. they can't just draft a qb in the first roundand expect everything to go all right. See what brohm can do not just in one game but a season develop brohm surround brohm with a good o-line another good receiver get a defense that can get him the ball back if and when he makes a mistake. An arm like brohms doesn't come around everyday. I completely concur w/ the writers assessment; incoming coach will know Brohm from college. the guy was in the wrong system in GB. He is a pocket passer not a west coast type. With a solid line and a good defense, he will put up big numbers. Yeah he needs a solid line but so did Kelly; so does Brady and Manning, etc - Nix is a SEC guy so if we draft Alabama LB 9th, trade back into first round to snag Alabam DT and solidify our Oline via free agency or improvement from Levitre Wood (assuming healthy) and Bell, we should have a strong young nucleus and in playoffs in 2 years
K Gun Special
There is no way in hell they will go into next season not addressing the QB situation outside of Brohm. Hey Fans: Our offense has sucked huge donkey d*** the past decade but we added some O line and our opening day qb is ............ Brian Brohm. Yawn. He can't even form a complete sentance, let alone utilize punctuation or proper grammar. In addition to that, he's pretty much just ranting like an 8-year-old. He really makes zero argument for Brohm other than to state that he was on Green Bay's practice squad and has a good arm. Awesome. J.P. Losman was a 1st round pick and had a great arm, that didn't make him a good QB. Brohm did absolutely nothing in his one start to distinguish himself as anything more than a #3 QB next season. Additionally, a team like Buffalo cannot expect to fill all of their needs in one draft, so it's probably wise to try to fill the most important positions on the team: QB and LT. I don't care if the team has to draft 4 of each, get a quality QB and a quality LT, and go from there.

If they go into 2010 content with Brohm, that means that all they got for a new Head Coach was another Yes Man, who has won nowhere.

Hey Fans: Our offense has sucked huge donkey d*** the past decade but we added some O line and our opening day qb is ............ Brian Brohm. Yawn. Brohm has big potential in my opinion and although Fitz played very well his last time out I was disappointed Brohm didn't get the nod. I was happy with Brohms first start, the kid can play. DanInSouthBuffalo
I'm willing to keep Fitz as a #2 or a #1 while we groom someone, and maybe that's Brohm. He's not nearly ready to start.
John Cocktosten
The Packers have developed a ton of QB's in the past behind their starter. They thought so much of Brohm that they spent a 2nd round pick. He lasted 1 year with the Pack and they essentially let him go for nothing. That is all you need to know right there. I was happy with Brohms first start, the kid can play. Based on what, exactly? He has a strong arm, that's literally the only positive thing that I can conceivably take away from his one start. The team crossed midfield 3 times during the game, scored 3 points, and turned the ball over 3 times. I don't mean to be rude, but what did you see--other than the fact that he's a Bills QB (which based on history automatically draws your immediate optimism regarding his abilities)--that tells you that "the kid can play"? He can't even form a complete sentAnce, let alone utilize punctuation or proper grammar. I find it humorous when people attempt to pick apart some one else's scribble when they themselves should not be throwing stones. Hopefully a lesson learned . He can't even form a complete sentance, let alone utilize punctuation or proper grammar. If you're going to call him a moron, and criticize his grammar, then you should probably..... Just sayin In regards to the article, I don't know if Brohm is the answer or not, but I was somewhat encouraged of what he could possibly bring to the table for the future. I absolutely don't want to draft a QB just for the sake of drafting a QB. If we were to draft one in the first round then I hope that Nix feels awfully confident in the guy he decides to draft. billsfreak
Brohm might have potential, he might not, he hasn't really shown any yet, but if they rest the 2010 season on Brohm and his maybe potential-it is one of the most retarded moves in NFL history. MattyT
After a decade of FAIL, I'm not sure Russ is going to want to go into the 2010/2011 season with ticket sales riding on the arm of Brian Brohm.

bfw1234
Brohm projected much better out of college than the current college class. Had he entered in his junior year he likely would have been first qb off the board. I suspect he got lost in GB behind Rogers and wondered why he was there. Again, it's evident that he didn't fit the GB west coast system but that doesn't mean he won't fit the Bills system whatever that might be. The point is that the talent is there. Ozymandius
I like Brohm's arm, too, but there are huge red flags when you are able to pluck someone off a practice squad. Especially an early pick QB that the drafting team essentially cut in Year 2.
