Bullpen Posted January 7, 2010 Posted January 7, 2010 Lest we forget a class act like Mark Maddox. Talked to him, Bruce Smith and Phil Hanson one time when I had a sideline pass for a preseason game against Houston in San Antonio. Bruce and Phil wanted to borrow my camera so they could zoom in on the cheerleaders, Mark actually took time to talk to me and find out my connection to Buffalo all the way down in San Antone. Really great guy.
bmur66 Posted January 7, 2010 Posted January 7, 2010 Mark Maddox. Thats the name I was trying to remember. How about when Bruce Smith had the rookie Bledsoe's legs wrapped up and Maddox hit him full speed head on. I thought Bledsoe was DEAD the way his head went back but he got right back up.
San Jose Bills Fan Posted January 7, 2010 Posted January 7, 2010 Jim Ballard. Played his college ball in this area. I'll go with some pasty RBs ... Rene Ingoglia Gordie Lockbaum and that jacked-up Army FB we heard so much about Lockbaum was with the Bills? Didn't know that. Cliff Hicks Remember that big old goofy hat he'd wear before and after games? #27. mario clark. only highlight we have of 70's decade vs dolphins was him picking up mercury morris over his head and body slamming him. and then mercury rolling around on the ground clutching his lower back and whining. pure wwf That wasn't Mario Clark. That was Neal Craig, the safety. He played one season for us (1974) and went to the same college as Robert James (Fisk). Earl Edwards! That was gonna be mine. Very under appreciated force at DE. Warrior pass rusher with no help. Tony Greene Maybe my favorite forgotten Bills player of all time.
