Virgil Posted January 5, 2010 Posted January 5, 2010 I'm not going to pretend to do the research on all these guys, so hopefully someone can fill in the blanks, but I consider our lack of consistency at QB to be one of our biggest misses since our Playoff years. With that, I want a coach who has a proven record building up a QB. Shannahan - This was my dream coach. He made Jake the Snake look good. Cowher - This guy would not give up on Kordell Stewart and that scares me. That is my lone hesitation with him. He made a crappy player into a adequate QB, but because of his stubborness, he kept getting beat in the playoffs when your players really step up. I know that there is more to Cowher than that, but his QB history scares me. Billick - This guy is an enigma. He is supposed to be a tremendous offensive mind and amazing with QB's. However, when he was a coach, the best he could do was Dilfer and Brandon Stokely. I like Billick, not crazy about him. Rivera - Who knows John Fox - He did great things with Delhoume, but it is tough to know when to pull a plug on a guy who throughs 4 td's one game and carries your team to the playoffs, then throws 5 int's and singlehandedly knocks you out of them. However, if he brings Weiss with him, I'm sold. In either case, I think we need to see an offensive minded guy come in. They could keep Perry or even hire Cotrell. Just thoughts...
