Doc Posted January 5, 2010 Posted January 5, 2010 At this rate, he won't be coaching until 2012. The threat of a lockout in 2011 is VERY real and a big reason why teams aren't making HC'ing changes like they otherwise would have done. And after 5 years away from the game, his value diminishes greatly.
ricojes Posted January 5, 2010 Posted January 5, 2010 Well, since John Clayton said that Cowher will absolutely not be the coach in Buffalo, I'm going to stop getting my hopes up. It's must be true. This is Joe Logan were talking about, not some ESPN hack...
Maddog69 Posted January 5, 2010 Posted January 5, 2010 There are conflicting reports about Cowher. From Buffalo Rumblings Twitter acct: "Rumor has it BUF "spurned" Cowher on Monday. Rumor also has it he'll be in BUF Tuesday. Translation: no one knows what the hell's going on." We'll have to wait and see. I am still hopeful it will be Cowher. For all the talk about Billick, he has confirmed numerous times that he has not spoken to the Bills and Schottenheimer said he has not spoken to Buddy Nix other than to leave him a congratulatory voicemail.

Right, but let's keep posting every single rumor out there. Someone's got to be right eventually...
OnTheRocks Posted January 5, 2010 Posted January 5, 2010 http://www.eastaurora.org/article.aspx?artno=1228 FWIW This story was posted at 6:35am yesterday - long before it was reported by national media that the Bills were cutting ties with the staff....this might have some wheels to it.
QB Bills Posted January 5, 2010 Posted January 5, 2010 Right, but let's keep posting every single rumor out there. Someone's got to be right eventually... Indeed. I hear they're thinking of bringing Dick Jauron back.
thewildrabbit Posted January 5, 2010 Posted January 5, 2010 Well, since John Clayton said that Cowher will absolutely not be the coach in Buffalo, I'm going to stop getting my hopes up. I'm not, this team needs Cowher
papazoid Posted January 5, 2010 Posted January 5, 2010 i dont know what to believe anymore it's tuesday.......remember ? you have been guaranteeing Cowher will be named head coach today (from your sources deep within OBD).......and that Billick will be named head coach tommorrow (wed).
DELLAPELLE JOHN Posted January 5, 2010 Posted January 5, 2010 dude, lighten the hell up , its called a prediction, we are allowed to have fun and make predictions, this is a message board, not the catholic church...... get a life man
davefan66 Posted January 5, 2010 Posted January 5, 2010 http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2010/...ls-again-today/ Florio picked up the article also. While I do find it interesting that the author of the article did say the Bills staff was getting axed prior to it happening. Not sure I give 100% credence to he'll be in town. Kinda hope it is true though.

I have a hard time believing the "spurned" story. When were they supposed to have a big meeting with Cowher? After they fired all the coaches but before the interviewed their Rooney candidate?
papazoid Posted January 5, 2010 Posted January 5, 2010 dude, lighten the hell up , its called a prediction, we are allowed to have fun and make predictions, this is a message board, not the catholic church...... get a life man still masquerading as a 9 year old ??
Beastly Dareus Posted January 5, 2010 Posted January 5, 2010 Just the fact that its a East Aurora article and not a major media source shows how reliable it is. What makes you think they have contacts with Bill Cowher? And the link is broken also, at least i couldnt open it
bigbillsfan12 Posted January 5, 2010 Posted January 5, 2010 Jim Kelly and Steve Tasker live in East Aurora, maybe Kelly leaked some info or Tasker who is in broadcasting wanted to get the scoop out.
rpcolosi Posted January 5, 2010 Posted January 5, 2010 http://www.eastaurora.org/article.aspx?artno=1228 FWIW You beat me to it by a few minutes! My friend at ESPN just sent me the same thing. He's checking with schefter to get confirmation...

Big Ian Posted January 5, 2010 Posted January 5, 2010 Pro Football talk has this too. That is why the link does not work. I don't care who we get, just get someone who wants to be here! GO BILLS!!!!!!!

Yes Kelly and Tasker live in East Aurora but I highly doubt they would report it to the East Aurora town news to get it out
