Amstel Posted January 4, 2010 Posted January 4, 2010 He said that it would jive with them firing the whole staff this morning and pointed out that they met w/Cowher in secret last week and very well could have met with Billick. I'm just relaying the info. I'm not posting any opinion on the topic....
Chilly Posted January 4, 2010 Posted January 4, 2010 Tim's just reporting what we were talking about in this thread: http://forums.twobillsdrive.com/index.php?showtopic=104605

VABills Posted January 4, 2010 Posted January 4, 2010 And this maybe the otehr side negotiating. Cowher saying he may stay in broadcast, now Bills saying they may look elsewhere to keep costs down. It's a pissing contest right now. Let's see who has the biggest stream.

Amstel Posted January 4, 2010 Author Posted January 4, 2010 Graham just reported that the text sent out about the Coaches being relieved of their 2009 Coahcing responsiblilities means they are still under contract and the next HC will be able to decide if he wants to keep any of them and in the meantime they are free to seek other opportunities. Also reiterated that Fewell will be considered for HC.....
BEAST MODE BABY! Posted January 4, 2010 Posted January 4, 2010 Ok, this now reeks of behind the scenes negotiating.
The Wiz Posted January 4, 2010 Posted January 4, 2010 Ok, this now reeks of behind the scenes negotiating. I seriously hope so. I mean, what kind of owner and GM would be the type to fire everyone with nothing in place.... Don't answer that.

Cowher saying he may stay in broadcast, now Bills saying they may look elsewhere to keep costs down. It's a pissing contest right now. Let's see who has the biggest stream. Nice analogy. I don't know what the final result is going to be, but I agree that it seems to be down to Billick and Cowher at this point.
ddaryl Posted January 4, 2010 Posted January 4, 2010 Sign the papers Bill Cowher Just sign the firggin papers... We're a football town like no other
EndZoneCrew Posted January 4, 2010 Posted January 4, 2010 I seriously hope so. I mean, what kind of owner and GM would be the type to fire everyone with nothing in place.... Don't answer that. Ralphy.......and "nobody beats em"!
It's in My Blood Posted January 4, 2010 Posted January 4, 2010 http://espn.go.com/blog/afceast/post/_/id/...icking-up-steam I absolutely believe that Billick is the #1 choice if we don't land Cowher. I would definitely take Billick over Shanahan (not that he is even an option) , even though the old "defense wins championships" moniker is not quite as true in the current NFL.
