Even Bobby April?!? Something tells me something big is on the horizon...like a coach who's already got his staff together...
papazoid Posted January 4, 2010 Posted January 4, 2010 The Buffalo Bills have commenced "Operation Cleaning House." On Monday the Bills fired their entire coaching staff -- including interim head coach Perry Fewell, FOXSports.com has learned. Fewell, however, is expected to officially interview Monday for the Bills' permanent head-coaching position. The team has already met with former Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Bill Cowher and believes that his interest in the opening is genuine. Buffalo is also making plans to interview several current assistant coaches to fill their head-coaching void. That list includes Eagles defensive coordinator Sean McDermitt, Cardinals assistant head coach Russ Grimm and Vikings defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier. Other possibilities include Jets offensive coordinator Brian Scottenheimer and Chargers defensive coordinator Ron Rivera.
Magox Posted January 4, 2010 Posted January 4, 2010 That better not include Bobby April.... It said "entire", so I would imagine so. If this is true, I would have to believe that we already have our coach in place.
Buffalo_Stampede Posted January 4, 2010 Posted January 4, 2010 That better not include Bobby April.... Not a good year for Bobby April, his special teams did not look prepared at times.

Coach Tuesday Posted January 4, 2010 Posted January 4, 2010 It said "entire", so I would imagine so. If this is true, I would have to believe that we already have our coach in place. I wouldn't be so sure - it's the BILLS we're talking about. When they jettisoned Langston, we thought they had a LT in place. When they sent Schonert packing, we assumed they had a backup plan at OC. Wrong-o.
sullim4 Posted January 4, 2010 Posted January 4, 2010 Even Chuck Lester?!?!?! This was my first thought as well!

5 Wide Posted January 4, 2010 Posted January 4, 2010 Is this unprecedented? Axing absolutely everyone? I don't recall it happening without a coach in place
Phlegm Alley Posted January 4, 2010 Posted January 4, 2010 Burn the whole thing down and start from scratch. Its a good start but there is plenty of fat to trim on the roster still.
Heels20X6 Posted January 4, 2010 Posted January 4, 2010 Hearing the same out here. Why would you cut April loose? Because the new coach already has his own special teams guy. I don't feel bad for April - he gets a chance to showcase himself on a team that could really use him. Like Pittsburgh. Their special teams is not very good.
Doc Posted January 4, 2010 Posted January 4, 2010 It wouldn't surprise me if April asked to be released, after the Bills passed-him-over for interim HC. But I don't like the move. The Bills had a hard time finding a good ST's coach after DeHaven.
aristocrat Posted January 4, 2010 Posted January 4, 2010 reminds me of that scene in entourage where ari ran around the building with a paintball gun
DELLAPELLE JOHN Posted January 4, 2010 Posted January 4, 2010 like the owner from the wwf, " I WILL FIRE YOUR ASS" !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
