Lynch being sued

Yeah, getting over 1,000 yards his first 2 seasons mean nothing. :)

It really doesn't. 1000 yards isn't all that impressive of a milestone, unless the number of carries it took you to reach it is extremely low like Jamal Charles who had 1100 yards despite only getting 29 carries the first 8 weeks of the season.

No, it still means something, just not everything. This is exactly why we need to move him now, because he's still young enough, not in jail, and is close enough to his time as the feature that he'll be worth a decent pick or player from some GM who had him high on the draft board. If we wait another year to trade him we'll get substancially less. Think of him as a car; every year, every mile, every violation his value depreciates.

On average, about 16 RB's break 1,000 yards for the season. And Lynch was 11th and 13th in rushing in 2007 and 2008 respectively, on some horrible offenses. While breaking 1,000 yards isn't the standard it once was, it still means he's an NFL-caliber RB, this legal/suspension-marred season notwithstanding.
