LGB Posted January 4, 2010 Posted January 4, 2010 Yes, new GM Buddy Nix will interview interim coach Perry Fewell on Monday, as well as meet with other Buffalo assistant coaches. But Yahoo Sports is reporting that the Bills have already approached Shanahan, Jon Gruden and Bill Cowher about the coaching job and have been rebuffed so far. With Mike Holmgren, already hired in Cleveland, and Mike Shanahan expected to be hired in Washington, the list of known candidates yet to interview with the Bills appear to be down to: Brian Billick, Perry Fewell, Brian Schottenheimer and Ron Rivera (with the last two currently in the NFL playoffs).
DELLAPELLE JOHN Posted January 4, 2010 Posted January 4, 2010 for the 1000000000000000000000 time, cowher has not turned down the bills, in the begining he said he wouldnt interview until the season is over, then we found out he has had 2 meeting with the bills in the past month.... this was reported over and over again yesterday......................................
DELLAPELLE JOHN Posted January 4, 2010 Posted January 4, 2010 these are just more reports from major media outlets that have something against buffalo becoming a winner....
LGB Posted January 4, 2010 Author Posted January 4, 2010 this report is from jan 2nd presumably the Bills met with Cowher prior to Jan. 2nd and hence were "rebuffed"
Doc Posted January 4, 2010 Posted January 4, 2010 presumably the Bills met with Cowher prior to Jan. 2nd and hence were "rebuffed" Where have you been living the past few days?
The_Philster Posted January 4, 2010 Posted January 4, 2010 They were never rebuffed by Cowher..if you would pay attention to what was actually said, you'd know that the only thing he ever said was that he wouldn't interview with anybody until after the season.
1billsfan Posted January 4, 2010 Posted January 4, 2010 presumably the Bills met with Cowher prior to Jan. 2nd and hence were "rebuffed" You do know what the meaning of the word "stealth" is, right? It means that this Yahoo sportswriter probably had no freaking clue about Cowher's meeting with the Bills.
BillsGuyInMalta Posted January 4, 2010 Posted January 4, 2010 presumably the Bills met with Cowher prior to Jan. 2nd and hence were "rebuffed" I don't believe that Cole had any knowledge of the "meeting" between Cowher and the Bills that occurred when he wrote this article. Before that news leaked out, it did look like Cowher had "rebuffed" them. To be completely honest though, you gotta love the crazy misinformation that is going on right now. Clayton reports Cowher wont come here, Schefter reports that Cowher is interested and had a productive meeting. Cole says that Billick is coming here while Peter King says that he won't get an interview.

Anyway, if Cowher didn't interview, what about the reports that the Bills already met with Cowher? Oh right, they must have talked about the weather...just saying...
Doc Posted January 4, 2010 Posted January 4, 2010 Add Cole to the "don't know spit" pile. Billick reportedly won't be getting an interview, and Cowher has already met with the Bills at least once.
Conch Posted January 4, 2010 Posted January 4, 2010 I just spoke with my pet guinea pig. He said Cowher is mildly interested in the Bills. He is usually 73% accurate with his information, which is better than anyone on this board or in the media.

All these will he, won't he threads as well as these so called insiders writing the "news" (term used loosely) is all just mental masturbation. Instead of getting all worked up over this how about sitting back and waiting for the Bills or one of the potential coaches to actually say something. You know, the facts.
Thurman#1 Posted January 4, 2010 Posted January 4, 2010 presumably the Bills met with Cowher prior to Jan. 2nd and hence were "rebuffed" No, what it says is "rebuffed SO FAR." Try reading it again.
LGB Posted January 4, 2010 Author Posted January 4, 2010 it says rebuffed so far at the top of this thread...lol. Anyway, here is another Cowher report for what it is worth: http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2010/...t-another-year/
