box0life Posted January 4, 2010 Posted January 4, 2010 According to footballcoachscoop.com, Mangini will be fired perhaps on Tuesday. Would Cowher be interested in the Cleaveland job with Holmgren as GM?
DarthICE Posted January 4, 2010 Posted January 4, 2010 According to footballcoachscoop.com, Mangini will be fired perhaps on Tuesday. Would Cowher be interested in the Cleaveland job with Holmgren as GM? No. If Cowher is going to coach it will be in Buffalo
Doc Posted January 4, 2010 Posted January 4, 2010 According to footballcoachscoop.com, Mangini will be fired perhaps on Tuesday. Would Cowher be interested in the Cleaveland job with Holmgren as GM? I doubt Cowher would want to be working for Holmgren.
Ever Since '86 Posted January 4, 2010 Posted January 4, 2010 No. If Cowher is going to coach it will be in Buffalo Have to agree, in no way would Cower want to work under holmgren. Why would he come back to have less say then he did with the steelers It's either Buffalo or cbs for billy
DanInUticaTampa Posted January 4, 2010 Posted January 4, 2010 Yeah, that would be pretty weird for cowher to work under Holgrem. Working for a former coach that you whipped in the superbowl? naaaa
Endzone Animal Posted January 4, 2010 Posted January 4, 2010 According to footballcoachscoop.com, Mangini will be fired perhaps on Tuesday. Would Cowher be interested in the Cleaveland job with Holmgren as GM? This is not good. If Holmgren didn't think he could get Cowher he would not get rid of Mangini, especially the way the Browns finished the year with four straight wins. Remember, Cowher played and coached for the Browns before going to Pittsburgh, and would be a natural fit in that town.

Somebody named Jauron had a four game winning streak last year.

I think that you are underscoring the fact that Holmgren may just want an ABM-type coach to take over. ABM obviously standing for Anyone But Mangini.

Furthermore, Lerner would be paying about $20M/year for both. Mangini is being fired because he sucks.
Wing Man Posted January 4, 2010 Posted January 4, 2010 Can't see those two big egos working together successfully.
purple haze Posted January 4, 2010 Posted January 4, 2010 According to footballcoachscoop.com, Mangini will be fired perhaps on Tuesday. Would Cowher be interested in the Cleaveland job with Holmgren as GM? Doubt it. Holmgren wants to run that west coast philosophy. That's not Cowher's system.
Tortured Soul Posted January 4, 2010 Posted January 4, 2010 I don't know about the site that's reporting this, but I just find it hard to believe the Browns have made a decision already.

BuffaninATL Posted January 4, 2010 Posted January 4, 2010 ..only Cowher knows if he is interested in the CLEVELAND job.... According to footballcoachscoop.com, Mangini will be fired perhaps on Tuesday. Would Cowher be interested in the Cleaveland job with Holmgren as GM?
Erik Posted January 4, 2010 Posted January 4, 2010 If I was Holmgren, I'd be firing Mangini by Tuesday. I'd have fired him a few hours ago.
Chalkie Gerzowski Posted January 4, 2010 Posted January 4, 2010 I'd have fired him a few hours ago. That doesn't hurt either.
Astrojanitor Posted January 4, 2010 Posted January 4, 2010 I don't know how great of an idea that is. The Browns won their last 4 games in a rebuilding year, the shows something is finally clicking. And with a team that has bigger QB problems than the Bills. I can understand Holmgren wanting to start over from scratch, but I think Mangini has earned a chance at a second year
PushthePile Posted January 4, 2010 Posted January 4, 2010 I liked it better when Mangini wasn't available. Nah, no chance right?
