Just on NBC. Totally speculative, but he said that if Bill Cowher wants to coach next year, Buffalo might be his best option (b/c Carolina and Tampa will likely not be open).

FWIW, on Football Night in America, Peter King mentioned that Cowher "may have to coach in Buffalo" next year if he wants to coach next year, because Carolina and TB don't look like they will be openings. We'll see...

This week will tell a lot. I think we have a new HC named within 10 days.

However the way he it put it "He may have to coach in Buffalo" makes it sound like its his only option and a bad place to end up

It may be his only option, but he'll get paid, and it will up to him to make the Bills respectable again. If he does, it ain't so bad, and even if he doesn't, he'll make a ton of money.

Well lets wait and see what goes down...

But I believe if the Bills want Cowher they better get it done this week before the Panthers owner has a change in heart.

Get er done Buddy......

Peter King reports that Bill Cowher's choices are dwindling. The Carolina owner wants Fox to coach out his contract. Tampa appears to be keeping their first year head coach. Not a lot of other teams are expected to drop their coaches.

No ****! Really? He said that?

Trust me, there are a LOT worse places to end up than here...this team has a lot of good young core players to build around. If they can get a good QB they can contend for the playoffs quickly...

Yes. It was such an insightful and earth-shattering statement from such a well respected man that we've seen the need to increase the number of Cowher threads on the front page from a measly 5 all the way up to a more respectable 8.

The real question is did he just get off the phone with Cowher like a half of a second earlier before he reported it?

Cowher said to be squarely on the radar in Buffalo. The Bills think they have a legitimate shot at Cowher.

For myself, if Cowher says yes, except for Fewell, the interviews are over.

What did they say?

Glazer said we have a chance to get him...he likes the roster and is interested in the job. Meanwhile we'll keep interviewing before meeting again with Cowher. Just a quick 30 seconds or so.
