Poeticlaw Posted January 3, 2010 Posted January 3, 2010 Considering all of the following: Fired OC before season First time Offensive Cordinator Fired DJ mid season. Intrim First time HC Coach playing double duty Started 3 different QBS 20 players on IR Intrim Coach playing double duty Inconsistent inexperience injured riddle rotating OL Thin @ LB Thin @ CBS Rotating safties Rotating RBs Inept Offense No Rushing Defense Old Wr with poor attitude and hands First time Offensive Cordinator We managed a 6-10 season with all of the factors which gives me hope for the upcoming season. Why? If we can go 6-10 with all of those factors with mediocre and first time inxperienced coaching and players I anticipate a New experienced Head coach with better cordinators and better personannel descisions should give us a plus 3 which means that the new coach should give us a 9-7 record next season might not be the playoffs but should be an improvemnet no the less. There are talented young players on this team and just need the right HC to put it all together. So now comes the best part of our season THE OFFSEASON and hopefully one of the last seasons we say that.
ThreeBillsDrive Posted January 3, 2010 Posted January 3, 2010 Decent summary The indictment of the Dick Jauron era is complete 4 losing seasons

Next thing you know, people will be saying Firzpatrick would be a good enough starter, that the OL doesn't need talent, it just needs to get healthy and so on. Truth is, the Bills were a poorly coached bad team with poor QB that had an easy schedule but was completely undermined by one of the worst offensive lines in recent NFL history. None of that other stuff matters. They aren't a mile away from being a wild card contender. Nobody is. But they are very weak at key positions and getting old at others.
ganesh Posted January 3, 2010 Posted January 3, 2010 It goes to show how flawed were those 7-9 finishes in the prior three years... This team to be competitive MUST have to win in the AFC East and the Patriots...Also, they have to get their swagger back and have home field advantage. During the Jauron years, our home record has been horrible.
