CarolinaBill Posted January 2, 2010 Posted January 2, 2010 Lots of good picks in the SD tenure Im cautiously optimistic and excited to see what Buddy can do here the second time around.
aristocrat Posted January 2, 2010 Posted January 2, 2010 or on the flip side, if our next draft is like his 2003 draft, this place will melt down antonio gates, scifres, diehlman...not too bad
DrDawkinstein Posted January 2, 2010 Posted January 2, 2010 antonio gates, scifres, diehlman...not too bad ha, i was referring to the number of DBs
timbuk3 Posted January 2, 2010 Posted January 2, 2010 You know, that's what everyone says about the 2000 draft, but my recollection is that the Bills wanted Ahmad Plummer in rd 1 but lost out to the Niners, and wanted Mike Brown/Deon Grant in rd 2 but lost out to the Bears/Panthers. A combination of bad luck and shaky decision-making after their primary options disappeared, basically. That's part of the problem with the Bills. They target specific players, but instead of trying to move up to get them, they wait and then end up taking a poor consolation prize.

Should have bumped up to take Willis instead of settling for Lynch, etc.
