    • I don't care about his time with The Bills, he drafted Maybin, therefore he sucks.

Off the top of my head-

Vincent Jackson

Darren Sproles

Shawne Merriman

Antonio Gates (possibly)

Phillip Rivers

Marcus McNeil

Kris Dielman

Eric Weddle

Luis Castillo

Shaun Phillips

The full history is above. And he didn't draft Rivers, he drafted Eli Manning, AND Drew Brees.

TAKE A SIDE!

The side I take is that he is an excellent talent evaluator. He spent alot of time with AJ Smith and, like the guy or not, he's done an excellent job in SD. Nix helped build that. With that being said, there is more to being a GM than just being a good talent evaluator. Will he bring in a quality coaching staff that can help change the landscape around here? Will he be able to land top tier FA to play for the Bills? I don't like the fact that it doesn't seem anyone else OUTSIDE the organization was contacted for the opening, but I hope for the best with Nix running the show.

I went with the drafted players, but the fact that he's been around a good organization in San Diego came in a close second.

I don't mind this. I really don't take much stock in the "hated" inside man theory, since he's only been around for a year. Perhaps he was in the plans all along...who knows.

But now he has the reigns to the draft and hiring of a coach. I have a better feeling about all of this, but I'm not celebrating just yet.

If memory serves, there was a bit of an uproar in the Buffalo media, and with Bills fans when he left OBD. I think this is the best of both worlds - a true "football guy" with a proven track record, and an "inside" guy who has ties to the Bills in their best years (and their HoF players).

First we moan when "great football guys like Buddy Nix" leave the team. Then we howl when "washed up old hacks" like Buddy Nix join the team. At least we're consistant

I cannot believe some people are complaining about his age. Isn't Bill Parcells 69 years old this year? Will he go senile too and forget about football?

It only appears that alot of people are bitching because its the same people that do it over and over and over and over, therefore giving the illusion that just about everyone is bitching

Ayup. I remember when he came back last year there was an entire thread dedicated to what a great move it was bringing back this brilliant football mind.

Now he's a senile loser.
