buffalo1983 Posted December 31, 2009 Posted December 31, 2009 pthomas3434 "Hey guys can't say anymore just stay tuned and pray for Bills blessings"
metzelaars_lives Posted December 31, 2009 Posted December 31, 2009 I like Mendola too, but do you really think he would know something that literally no one else on planet earth seems to know?
scribo Posted December 31, 2009 Posted December 31, 2009 http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2009/...aming-a-new-gm/ The move is expected to be an in-house promotion, with Tom Modrak or Buddy Nix expected to get the job.
PromoTheRobot Posted December 31, 2009 Posted December 31, 2009 The head of Chuck Knox in a jar will be named "head" coach. I slay me. PTR
Indy Dave Posted December 31, 2009 Posted December 31, 2009 For what it is worth, I am 99 percent sure Buccigross' comment about Perry staying on in Buffalo was a mistake. The comment was along the lines of, "We already know that Jim Zorn is likely gone from Washington, same with Fewell staying in Buffalo." It was evident to me that he meant Fewell was NOT staying.
BillsVet Posted December 31, 2009 Posted December 31, 2009 That sounds as plausible as anything and although some would whine about his age, I really don't care as long as he knows what he's doing. If so, that's a quick analyzation of the team, and represents another move made with little long term planning involved. Marv's hiring had no succession plan in place, and having Nix fill the GM role isn't the answer. I know the guy has been a part of some good drafts, but 70 year olds are retired, front office execs and coaches, in the NFL.

I worry about the age issue. Guys in their 70s aren't as hard charging as guys in their 40s-50s. It's biology.
Hazed and Amuzed Posted December 31, 2009 Posted December 31, 2009 I would be very happy if Nix was the hire at GM. He deserves the shot at GM and we deserve a true football guy who has proven his eye for talent in the past.
BeastMode54 Posted December 31, 2009 Posted December 31, 2009 http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2009/...aming-a-new-gm/ I just threw up
Cugalabanza Posted December 31, 2009 Posted December 31, 2009 i think it might be cowher as new hc and gm and that he will take over on tuesday.... Boy, you're really married to this something-big-happens-on-Tuesday thing.
BillsGuyInMalta Posted December 31, 2009 Posted December 31, 2009 If Modrak gets the job, the chances that Cowher will come here gets bumped up a notch. If Nix gets the job, the chances that we'll actually bring in quality FAs (and draftees) gets bumped a notch. To be honest, I REALLY hope Nix is our new GM. He's the type of football mind we need making decisions.

You should find a picture of an elderly man walking through a revolving door for your new avatar ...
theesir Posted December 31, 2009 Posted December 31, 2009 I just threw up I will too if it is Modrak. He deserved to be let go years ago. Just what we would need, a GM who works out of his home in Florida.

DELLAPELLE JOHN Posted December 31, 2009 Posted December 31, 2009 well modrak did want cutler ngata and built the great eagles teams......
FluffHead Posted December 31, 2009 Posted December 31, 2009 It's Nix. Modrak will stay through the draft and then be gone or in a consulting role. You're pretty set on it being Nix, eh?
H2o Posted December 31, 2009 Posted December 31, 2009 Man, this story has grown legs and is running like Usain Bolt. I wouldn't mind Nix being made GM.
tecmobowlbills Posted December 31, 2009 Posted December 31, 2009 I am already preparing myself for disappointment
