The House Judiciary Committee says retired boxing champion Thomas Hearns, former NFL players Ted Johnson, Kyle Turley and Bernie Parrish, and the Rev. Al Sharpton are among witnesses who will appear at next week's hearing on head injuries in football.

Why the bloody F! is Al Sharpton going to appear? These issues are serious and if anything is going to be done about it than it should be taken as serious. It is right, though, Congress and the bunch of fools they are asking another fool to join them.

I hope they use his terrorist a$$ as a tackling dumby to give him a head injury. I guess this is what he's relegated to now that Obama is in office. Poor guy!

Seriously: Roger Goodell is is allowing himsself to be looked like a fool. He needs to fire back at these investigations by doing something! Being proactive, you know, a good offense is a good defense, is the way to resolve it! The NFL needs a giant dousching to begin with.

The NFL is too busy fining players minuscule amounts of money for uniform infractions to even think about taking this on.

The big problem they're facing is what's going to happen in court once they admit there's a serious problem. The former players are going to come after them for a bunch of jack that they're definitely due and the NFL is trying to hold off as long as possible to shrink the pool of payees.

It's one of a number of things that will eventually kill the golden goose but they all point back to basic greed.
