zow2 Posted December 29, 2009 Posted December 29, 2009 I'm rooting for a Bills win but it would be kinda' interesting if Indy beats them. Not for Buffalo, but Indy is getting absolutely barbecued in the national media for pulling healthy starters up by 5 vs. the Jets (and spitting on possible NFL history). If they dispose of the Bills, that decision would be just the worst case sccenario for Indy. FWIW, i like the Hot "under the radar" team to win in the AFC playoffs and that seems to be SanDiego right now...maybe even New England.
BuffaloBill Posted December 29, 2009 Posted December 29, 2009 "What if?" Yeah not unlike the Steelers scrubs did several years agao ... that was the last honest shot we had at making the playoffs too. I would not be hocked to see the Bills lay down - lame duck head coach and little to play for.
The Poojer Posted December 29, 2009 Posted December 29, 2009 what do you mean "what if"??????????? I'm rooting for a Bills win but it would be kinda' interesting if Indy beats them. Cugalabanza Posted December 29, 2009 Posted December 29, 2009 Teacher says, every time a playoff team beats the Bills with their scrubs in a season finale, Bill Polian gets a boner.
Dave_In_Norfolk Posted December 29, 2009 Posted December 29, 2009 Just going out on a limb here, but we might be in search of a new coach if that happens

This adds even more pressure and heat to Ralph to get things changed.
Mr. WEO Posted December 29, 2009 Posted December 29, 2009 SD is "under the radar"? Thye've won 10 in a row and have been described as the "hottest team in the league" for the past 2 weeks. They are preparing to destroy the floundering NFC, while Indy is preparing, in their usual fashion, for a first round exit.
judman Posted December 29, 2009 Posted December 29, 2009 I would not be surprised at all. Imagine if that guy Painter gets a win... The Colts should be looking for a new backup. I would think that being around P. Manning would rub off just a little bit, wrong!

What i mean is the pressure to win it all in on Indy, New Orleans and maybe Minnesota. SD got off to a bad start, LT was not the same LT, their D was suspect at best... it wasn't like a couple yrs ago when SD was absolutely Super Bowl or bust. Much like the Colts won the SB in a season they were not dominating, SD seems to be that team right now.
Billy in 4C Posted December 29, 2009 Posted December 29, 2009 WHEN is more likely. It actually makes it a more competitive game seeing that the Bills are starting backup to 4th stringers in a majority of the positions. Even with the Colts playing backups I can't see us winning - most of the team checked out for the year.

At least the Colts will be playing their second-stringers.....the Bills are down to playing third-stringers and guys off the street at some positions. It would be no suprise to me if the Colts win the game with their back-up's.
dhg Posted December 29, 2009 Posted December 29, 2009 I think they may give Drew Wiley a chance to play in this game.
DaBills51 Posted December 29, 2009 Posted December 29, 2009 Then the Colts backups will have beaten the Bills backups, and nothing more. This team does suck, but it seems as if people are forgetting that we are starting our 3rd string QB, 3rd and 4th CBs, we have 3 right guards placed on IR, 2 tackles are done for the year, our best playmaker on D is out (Byrd), and Poz is the only healthy linebacker from the start of the season. So in reality, it's going to be the Colts backups playing against the Bills 3rd stringers and street free agents.
zow2 Posted December 29, 2009 Author Posted December 29, 2009 I think they may give Drew Wiley a chance to play in this game. Drew Willy was waived today by the Colts....per the other thread on this board. It's too bad, would've liked to see him.

People are picking them to beat the Colts and go to the SB
Las Vegas Calling... Posted December 29, 2009 Posted December 29, 2009 Bill Polian is so far ahead of any one at One Bills Drive, that his back ups are better than our starters. Count on the Colt's secondary destroying the Bills starters. And nothing will happen as a result. We will be forced to endur anther rebuilding project with a new set of loser GM's, Scouts and bargin basement coaches. The losing will continue....
Fewell733 Posted December 29, 2009 Posted December 29, 2009 who cares. their backups already lost to the jets. We've beaten the Jets. Aren't we basically playing backups ourselves anyway?
